BMW Roof Rack Base Support System 325 328 330 335 M3 Sedan (2006-2011)

I have a 2008 BMW 328i coupe. I use the base support system with the BMW bike rack. The install of the base support system was super easy. And it's sturdy. the base rack does create some wind noise, but nothing too serious. I am very pleased with the quality and appearance. The base rack was a lot cheaper then a comparable Yakima rack system. I would buy this again for my next vehicle and recommend to anyone looking for a similar system.

Comes with the tool to attach the rack to your car. Also has extensive instruction for during the installation process.

I bought this for my wife's e90 so that we can get bike racks and a roof box for it. This is an OEM part, and it comes with the BMW manual and all the tools and instructions you need to install it. The only thing lacking is that they neglect to specify that one is longer than the other, so you need to make sure you put the correct rubber strip in the front and rear. It's a little tedious to feed that in, and if you go through that process and discovered that you put them in wrong, it's a little frustrating. Otherwise it's a great product.

Used it to transport with a cargo basket and a roof top carrier. Unfortunately cannot be calibrated so basket and carrier need to be calibrated each time I use between 2 different vehicles.

Genuine BMW product that’s been designed well. These roof racks are manufactured with a really nice quality aluminum. The aerodynamic & modern profile blend perfectly with BMW. I modified the front roof rack by extending all the slots on both sides by a quarter inch so that they fit a 2001 BMW E46 perfectly, however I also needed to make one neat slot per roof rack base on the inside.I googled and found the identical roof racks modified to fit the E46. The step by step mod that someone had done proved to be very helpful, the directions and photos inspired me . I must emphasize this is all at your own risk as BMW more than likely will not like someone modifying their equipment, and I’m sure once you have modified it it will be non returnable.These roof racks are as nice as the big brands but much less and they are a quality BMW product.

The rails were scuffed up, clearly used even though listing explicitly said "Condition: New" when I purchased. Most significantly, it was missing the instructions and special torque wrench needed for install. I had a friend who had the tool and brought it over so I could install and use it for weekend plans. Unfortunately now that it's installed on my car I'm less inclined to take it down and go through the hassle of returning it for a new one. Basically I got boned by Amazon on this one. Maybe it's the seller's fault but they blamed amazon since it was "amazon fulfilled".TLDR Buyer Beware: be prepared for damaged/missing stuff even if it's listed as new and just send it back right away. Don't buy it right before you planned to use it..
