How long do they last in the shower before being replaced??

How long they last will depend on your water system if it's filtered before it come to your shower head or not. Otherwise you will know when it's time to change filters it changes color when it get full and your shower head won't produce as much flow as before.

What micron is this? 0.2 micron? Does it have beads inside?

No beads inside. It's just pleats of cotton. If you do need these for a shower head, make sure they are the right length. Some use these 3.7" length Some use 3.5"/ 4"
