Really easy to build and really fun you should get it
It is a good furnace. I love it except it takes a while to melt copper if you use the 16 KG crucible and if you do use that one for copper, I say you let it heat up first and then add the copper but it’s a great furnace I love it i’ve melted copper, aluminum, and brass and it’s worked flawlessly

Good double burner
I saw someone's opinion about the lid not staying down, so I added a latch. It works well, plus if I store my crucible inside, there's less chance of it falling out if the smelter gets tipped over. I've tried melting some pop cans for starters... But I think I'm too new at this smelting and could use more tips. I couldn't get the cans to become completely liquid. It may have had too much contaminant from the coating on the cans. Not knowing much then... I put too much heat and melted the iron fittings at the end of the burners... Good thing they're designed to be replaceable. I do agree that the gloves are too thin, but at least you get something to use. The tongs are fine for picking up the crucible, but it'd be nice to get something else that can cup the crucible better later on. And per another opinion I read about the paint coming off... Nope it holds up well. Either way if it did, go put some more on and quit being a princess. I'm glad I purchased this furnace over the other ones I've seen on Amazon, and it works fairly well to me. If it can melt those iron pipe fittings, I suppose it can do more than cans. I'll give it a shot later with more materials laying around.

Does what it says, no more
This product does what it says it will do. I melted down several garbage bags of pop cans and made a couple aluminum ingots. The crucible is showing cracking after this one session, but it was probably my fault as a beginner. The tongs are functional, but not overly sturdy. The mold works well. I used most of a propane bottle to get this done, so it will take some time to get to temp and melt. It's not a bad product. For the price paid, the quality was just fine.

Everything was made right and it's all perfect. Love it.

Awful, very poorly made.
Used once and the flame extension tubes melted before the material in the crusible.

Sturdy Well Built
16 kg Furnace delivered quickly. Unit seems to be well made & sturdy. Has everything you need to get started (you have to supply the propane). Tong set is shipped separately from the furnace unit. Easy to assemble. Recommend this 16 kg furnace or the 25 kg furnace (I bought one of those as well) to anyone that has large scrap metal to melt down. Seller responds quickly to questions. Great for large quantity melts.

Waiting for better weather so I can try it out, Can't melt indoors without exhaust fan.

Sturdy, well insulated, easy to assemble. As a beginner in the metal melting business, I would've liked to know beforehand that the ceramic fiber needs to be sealed to avoid health hazard to the lungs (silica particles are very dangerous). Still 5 star because I should've done my homework. For those who wonder, I'm starting this in 3 steps. 1. 2 coats of Cab-O-Sil as a rigidizer (don't bother buying premixed rigidizer, Cab-O-Sil is a lot cheaper). 2. 2-3 1/8th of an inch coats of satanite ( to get 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch total), then fire the furnace at low temp for ~45 sec then let it cool, repeat the firing at medium temp for a minute then let it cool, repeat again at high temp for 2 min and let it cool. And finally 3. A thin layer of ITC-100 (1/16 to 1/8 of an inch) and do the gradual firing and cooldown sequence again. Then you're good to go. This is what I'm doing, it's not the only viable option, I suggest that you do some research before starting and find what coating suits your forge best. The final coating of itc-100 isn't yet applied and it already burn hot enough to melt a piece of vintage cast iron weight that was making a gap in the door to cure the satanite.
