Part worked great for my 08 VW Passat. Not sure if I needed to change this but I changed this and the turbo diverter valve along with it and it removed the turbo under boost error code. I would try changing the diverter valve first because this was a pain to switch out. Good luck.

It fixed my low and fluctuating boost problem but only for less than a year. It wouldn't be so bad if it was easily accessible.

I bought this part to fix a underboost problem ended replacing the turbo after replacing this and still had the problem. Then replaced this the wastegate solenoid with a factory part installed of this one and it worked fine.
