Great clock but didn't include the needed weight
Great project. Was a little intimidating because the pieces are small and thin so the potential to break felt like a big risk. It was solid though. Really enjoyed putting this together. Wasn't expecting the fact that I had to add sooooo much weight to the pendulum on it. So have spare bits of metal that fit together well.

Entertaining Challenge
A friend didn’t want to finish the Justice Guard Terminator M870 rubber band gun by Rokr and gave it to me to finish. I thought the puzzle was a pleasant challenge to assemble, and it worked. Looking at other puzzles in that line, the wife thought the Romantic Note Wall Clock would look great on the wall. Assembly took about 11 hours. I’m no wizard model maker, though I am retired. Seemed no matter how gentle I tried to be, it was difficult not to peel a little of the colored plywood veneer from a few gears’ teeth while removing them from the prepunched sheets. I glued several back on. Also glued the numbers as the option over double sided tape. I didn’t use their supplied glue, used my Elmer’s Wood Glue. Adjusting the pendulum by rotate-leveling the clock required incredibly slight movements. It finally kept swinging for the duration (length of string on the clock weight). Without accounting for potential string slip, I measured about 9-1/8” (23cm) for an hour of tick-tock noise. Just to reiterate, the time piece is quartz movement, single “AA” battery powered, not gravity and pendulum. Gravity and pendulum just make motion & noise. I had lead-shot (tiny lead balls) setting around, so I used Rokr’s recommended maximum of 450 grams (near 1-pound) for the clock weight. If the seam on the clock weight stretches opens and the shot starts falling out, I’ll switch to fishing sinkers. It is an entertaining challenge to assemble, the tick-tock noise is neat, it displays time, and it looks pretty cool.

Great product. Good price.
Extremely well crafted product! Be careful of the instructions, however as they can be a little ambiguous, and this is a level five puzzle. They did not include the acrylic white paint or the wax, known as.Remind wax. Those, per a reply to my inquiry, are NOT shipped due to international shipping restrictions. Had to go get both at a local store. The clock mechanism does not drive the clock gears. I knew that already and it’s okay with me. They operate on separate gears.

Sturdy but with small fragile parts
I just finished this walk clock and it looks good. It went together almost smoothly, the only exceptions being a few of the tiny parts broke. I'm not faulting the manufacturer, I knew there was a chance I might break some small pieces, so I got a bottle of ca glue just in case. If you want the pendulum to swing be prepared to make minute adjustments to got it parallel to the wall, and the 3/9 positions perfectly perpendicular to the ground to keep it swinging until the larger hammer is all the way down. With smoke and restroom breaks took me about 10.5 hours to complete, and I used four two ounce and seven one ounce sinkers for the large hammer.

Beautiful and frustrating
This was a Christmas present to me. The clock is very beautiful and tricky to build. It took me several hours to build and then pendulum didn't work. Then I took it apart over 5 times and one week later pendulum works as it should giving me over 4.5 hours of swing per winding. I almost trashed it in the can and am glad that I didn't. Then I finished another Rokr project with cuckoo clock which I loved and came back to finish this one. The instructions are confusing on several pages. And the pictures and writings are very small. This made me miss one very important step. The instruction barcodes in the book do not work, but by going to the You Tube, on their page, there is a very helpful video. It made me realize that I put "v or anchor" of pendulum wrong way out. "V" looks the same, but has slightly different bevel. It also has the smallest writing on it that I missed the first time. This writing needs to face outside in order for pendulum to work. This project taught me valuable lesson. Wood is a living thing. It reacts to moisture and dryness and it can warp. There is a reason people make gears from metal or plastic and not wood. First time assembling this project it was very hard to remove plywood pieces without chipping the ends of the wood. It was also very difficult to insert pieces together. I lost feeling in my finger tips from too snug of fit. So, now I disassembled project at least four times and made sure everything was assembled properly - the pendulum still didn't work right. Pendulum was rubbing, and no adjustment did fix it. Then I noticed upper body of pendulum was bent and so was a board that it came from. I took it apart, sprayed with water and sandwiched between two pieces of straight wood boards and weighted it. When dry I assembled it backwards for a day to make sure it is perfectly dry. I then reassembled it the correct way. It is not rubbing any more. I also had many problems with the cord for the weight. It was falling between wood pieces holding gear together. Make sure that the screws holding white plastic wheel are very tight and that the rod with two black plastic stoppers is very snug wood to wood, so the cord does not fall from gear and gets sandwiched between. I also added extra wax on all the moving gears. One of the double gears was mismatched and I sanded it to remove the ridge where they meet. After all this it works perfect and is very satisfying. I also put 4 quarter coins behind pendulum swing. Scotch taped them together and crossed tape to hold it on the pendulum. I purchased weights from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B2R8DX42?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_2, or just use QWORK Slotted Weight Set 500g in search engine. They are separate 50g weights and you can add and remove to your need. I used all 500g (the book says 300-450g). I could probably take some off now pendulum is working properly. In order for this set to work you need to bend top hook down with heavy pliers; because it is too tall. Also when assembling you need to add weights before putting top cap orifice or it won't fit. Also the clock is heavy and it will pull out of drywall with provided nails. You need to use drywall screws or use little bit of wood glue to the back of the wood before nailing it to the wall (that is what I did). Or just use longer nails and nail them to 2x4. I do not trust glue stick hangers provided with the set. I think they will fall over time from weight and friction. I looked many reviews and videos posted to make this clock work. Stick with instructions. They are correct. I also had zero clock building experience and extensive woodworking experience. This is not a simple project for beginners.

Excellent puzzle
ROKR has an incredibly good instruction manual that explains everything in such a good way. Naturally I made the mistake of thinking that the little tube of white stuff was wax so I applied it to the areas that needed to be waxed. The parts stuck together. I’m emailing ROKR for replacements. I’ve built other ROKR puzzles and was completely satisfied with everything. I’m sure this one will be just as well.

Love these puzzles
I have made several of this company's wooden puzzles. They all are quality and the instructions have been spot on!! If the piece doesn't fit, you just need to re-read the instructions and it will fit! These puzzles are an excellent way to promote concentration, patience, and following direction. I am working on the nightlight globe now with the Emperor scorpion coming next!!

I've had this on my wall for a couple of months now and yes, at some points I had it actually working really well, but let's start with the puzzle part. Puzzle was a thrill to make. Had lots of fun and the instructions are pretty straightforward. By the end my fingers were hurting but that's just cause I built it in 3 evenings. Looks good on the wall 👌 Disclaimer: The pendulum is not what's making the clock tick. The clock is battery powered and the pendulum is there for the ticking sound and to look good (just in case someone reads this and didn't read the description of the product 😉) You *really* have to adjust it properly for the pendulum to work and not stop after a couple of minutes. And I'm talking about micro adjustments. You have to take your time (took me about half an hour to have it right).
