A must have for hvac trades people, very useful and wouldn't show up without them

I've been using these tools almost every day for over a year, and they've never let me down. It is very convenient to use when you need to prevent the loss of freon from the system.

This is a very conveniently sized set, and accurate enough to handle the job. Every piece uses batteries, so have some extras and a #1 Phillips screwdriver on hand. These do not have the ability to measure vacuum. If you intend to use this set as a manifold substitute, be sure to have a salad of fittings like valve core tools, a core depressor, brass caps with seals, and whatever other various bits and bobs. The only major negative is that the Fieldpiece app has a monthly fee, so it's like you pay all this money to buy good tools and then have to pay rent to the manufacturer to use them. There is a workaround though, as MeasureQuick has a free app that works well with these and various other wireless HVAC tools. The Fieldpiece app is very robust and has the ability to save equipment and other data by location, which is likely a handy option for professionals whose price gouging and rounding up to the nearest thousand means they can afford it. That is not me. I passed the EPA 608 Universal and bought equipment simply because it cost less than the markup of hiring a professional for one AC install. At present I only use the equipment to keep those vultures away from family and friends.

For diagnosing AC's and refrigeration these work great. They are especial handy on units that are critically charged, were hooking gauges up will mean you're automatically low in refrigerant, Ice machines, slushy machine, etc. If unobstructed by walls the range is about 100'
