Great Versatile table
Purchased this as a table for my apartment because I love that it can be small when it’s just 1 or 2 people and allow more room for walking space around it. Then I can expand it for more comfortable seating for 3-4 or even up to 6. Due to the table legs not moving when expanding the table and ending up between peoples legs, I wouldn’t want to consistently seat 6 at the table, but it’ll do in a pinch. The color is great, but the finish is pretty thin, so it you scratch it, you’ll probably see a different color. The table is simple to expand by yourself. Table and chairs were easy to put together, but I did have to look up instructions because they did not come with it. I managed by myself, but a second person is probably a good idea for flipping the table right side up.

Cant really complain.. it was easy to assemble and it keeps my food suspended above the floor.
Giving a 4 if only b/c the boxes showed up with some damage to the big one with the table in it. There is a cracked 'support board' on the underside of the table where the leaf is housed. I don't know the specific term for such a board... it is vertically attached on the long axis. If I had to guess, it was cracked due to a compression load, like something heavy may have been rested on top of the box... it's split along the grain, not across it.Think of a Kit Kat candy bar... if you separated the layers slightly, but didn't break the bar in half. That's how it's cracked (and the crack does 'break out' of the bottom edge of the board). It doesnt appear to be structural in as much as it doesn't open up if I bear down on the table top.. not that I can do by myself anyway. I was angry at first, but realized it could be fixed with some deck screws and glue (as I read in a few other reviews of 'mail order furniture'). It cant be seen from the top. If it was a visible problem, I'd have sent it back for sure. The set seems sturdy and the legs all hit the ground at the same time, no wobbles. It was easy to put together, but I'm a gear head, so this was barely a bother. Just take your time, don't final tighten anything on any given piece until you have all the bolts run down at least finger tight. THEN, final tighten all the bolts while making any adjustments to fit as you go.. nudge here or there to line things up.. then tighten and move to next bolt.I'm not sure the finish is terribly deep.. it looks 'rich' and I like the color, but going by some of the scratches it suffered on the underside in that break-area.. it just doesn't seem super deep. I hope I'm just being overly critical. For the money though, to get solid wood furniture (and I have no idea what the wood 'is', just that there's no veneer that I can detect), that is solid and seems sturdy.. can't really complain much at this point. I've had it maybe a month so far.I like the butterfly leaf at this point... easy to use. Maybe it'll get to be a pain to use later as it ages.. who knows. For now, it operates smoothly. I suspect it will continue to do so. If I spilled a gallon of oatmeal on it, I'd own whatever cantankerousness resulted from gumming up the works. 'Oatmeal-proof' is not a certification for furniture that I'm aware of.It's pretty much exactly what I expected, and that's about as much as I can ask.(for the record, this might be the 3rd ever review I've done on the 'zon.... the 2nd one was 20 min ago.. I guess i'm in the mood to review stuff)

Pleased
Based on the reviews I was hesitant to purchase but I did. Came in the time stated and was quite easy to put together with just the Allen tool that came with it. Two to the chairs have an ever so slight wobble that I'll fix with a bit of felt.

Very nice set
We were a little unsure about this set until it arrived. It is the perfect size for our space, very sturdy, and looks great. There is 1 small blemish on the bench surface but we don't want to mess with the hassle of a return.

Finish is not durable
Easy to assemble. A cordless drill with appropriate bits allowed me to put the entire set together in about half an hour. If you use the included tools - you will be there a while. The pieces were very well packed. The only issue was the finish on two of the chairs was imperfect (not even in color, scuffs exposing bare wood). Hence the four star rating. Not a big deal as this was going to be a daily use set in a breakfast nook exposed to kids and their crafts, homework, laptops - and four violent Siberian Huskies. The pieces are HEAVY. Which is good. The dogs haven't managed to knock anything over yet which was a common occurrence with the previous set that was in the breakfast nook.

Beautiful Addition
I was VERY apprehensive about buying a dining room set online. However, upon unpacking all of the components contained in the box, coercing my husband to assemble the items, I was more than pleasantly surprised to see a beautiful addition to my small dining area. This set is of excellent quality and adds just the touch of warmth I had been looking for. It is sturdy and well worth the money.

Very nice!
Beautiful set. Little smaller than my old table but that's what I wanted. Just wish the legs were a little farther apart on the table so I could put two chairs on the one side since this is placed against a wall. Came with a couple scratches but nothing worth returning it for. That's the only reason for the 4 start rating and not 5. Will update in the future about longevity of the sturdiness. Right now it's really solid!
