Excellent quality — exactly what I needed
This psyllium husk is top quality and works exactly the way it should. The texture is clean, fine, and mixes easily into water or smoothies without that gritty aftertaste some brands have. I noticed a difference in regularity within just a couple of days, and it’s gentle on the stomach. I also appreciate that it’s organic, gluten-free, and has no additives — just pure psyllium. The bag is generous and lasts a long time, so it’s a great value. I’m very happy with it and will definitely reorder.

A high quality psyllium husk!
This psyllium husk is amazingly smoother than other brands I have tried and mixes well in water. It does not create as many chunks which makes it easier to swallow. And of course the effects on your GI tract is immediate. It helps my family members who are not regular with BM's!

No lumps!
I've tried some others and this one is the best. It's nice and smooth with no lumps. Taking this nightly has lowered my cholesterol.

Superior product
I switched to this product from Konsyl. I wasn’t totally dissatisfied with Konsyl, I just wanted to see if there were other options. I do like this psyllium powder better. The taste is still psyllium powder; I’d say it’s marginally better here. But the visual appearance of the product looks more appetizing. And I believe it mixes better.

Organic, thumbs up!
Love that it is organic and not flavored. Results are great. Only wish it dissolved better.

Great fiber supplement for MCAS
This is the only MCAS friendly fiber source I've been able to find, & it works great! The taste is kind of earthy & sandy, it takes a few days to get used to that. I just mix mine with water, it would probably not be a noticeable taste if mixed in something flavored. It does take a few minutes to get mixed in, so keep stirring & be patient. You can't premix it, because it absorbs the water & becomes a undrinkable gelatinous blob. LOL The instructions & everything you read online says to mix it with a full glass of water. DO THIS! I've tried drinking it with less, & it actually dries me out within an hour, to the point I kind of feel dehydrated & even my eyes feel dry. For me, 4 oz with 1/4 tsp is perfect. (I'm increasing my serving, so 8 oz with 1/2 tsp at a time is what I've moved up to.) Keep it stored in the original bag. (It says cool & dry place.) I made the mistake of thinking I needed to put mine in a supposedly air tight plastic container. It did not store well & actually caused a flare after it being in there a while. YUCK. I tried baking with it, but couldn't figure out how to get the proportions right to prevent that jelly blob I mentioned before. My loaf of bread ended up becoming a very wonky batch of chewy mini cinnamon rolls. LOL

Great quality psyllium husk powder
The is a finely ground powder. In my opinion, this makes it more effective as a fiber supplement. Be sure to mix well and consume with plenty of water. USDA certified organic..

It's Psyllium Husk...
The "features" that these reviews want you to rate (ease to swallow, flavor, and blending power) are a little ridiculous for psyllium husk. It is a blah powder, which is why it is often flavored in applications like Metamucil, or taken in caplet form. If you look at the caplets, however, they are pretty expensive, which is why I first started looking at this product. The value is unparalleled. The resealable package itself will remind you to take each teaspoon of this product with 8oz of water. That is absolutely necessary...not only to get the product down, but because the husk absorbs moisture around it to create its bulking, fiber benefits. If you use a lot of this product without hydrating properly, you are at risk of constipating yourself. The powder also clumps very easily, so I have found that I take my servings of powder best with a scoop of my chocolate protein powder, mix together in a sport shaker, add water, then vigorously shake for about thirty seconds. The psyllium can stick like mad to the shaker bottle, so I found it is very useful to disperse the psyllium into the protein powder before adding water...otherwise you can have a mess. It also thickens as it stands, so you don't want to premix this. Mix it up, then immediately drink it all. As far as results, I have found that this product does help with bulking. Because it is more difficult to work with than other fiber powders, such as Benefiber, which uses wheat germ, and dissolves readily and without task, I use this product with my protein powder in the late morning, and Optifiber (basically Costco Benefiber) in the late afternoon. Of important note is that both of these fibers can have the potential of absorbing medication in your system, reducing their efficacy. I take a pill medication three times per day, so most cautionary guidance I have come across indicates that you shouldn't take this within two hours before or after taking your medication. Increasing fiber intake (even from food) can cause you to be gassy, so good guidance is to ramp up your intake gradually to allow your body and gut biome to adjust.
