TOBENONE Triple Display Docking Station with Power Delivery, USB C Docking Station Dual HDMI 4K, USB-C Dock for Thunderbolt 3/4, USB-C Windows and MacBook(2 HDMI, VGA, 4 USB 3.0, Ethernet, SD/TF)

One of the downsides of the newer MacBooks Pros (M1 or M2 chip) is the ability to extend to 2 or 3 screens. After a lot of research, I landed on this unit from Tobenone. Here are my thoughts:1. First and foremost, it works! Seems like a no-brainer, but there are so many scammy tech providers on Amazon you're never quite certain - especially when you try a brand you've never heard of before.2. Set up is easy. The directions are clear, concise and written for both Mac and PC users.3. Everything is in the box. It comes with 2 USB-C cords, 65W power block and preloaded display driver software.4. Connection for up to 3 displays (two 4K and one 1080p). This is nearly ideal if you require 4K for work (of play for that matter).5. It charges your MacBook while it's docked. Surprisingly not all do. This is a plus.6. Lots of additional ports and connectivity. The unit has 4 USB ports, a headphone jack, SD and Micro SD card readers. My only nitpick is that there are no extra USB-C ports - with only two on the MacBook Pro, an extra one or two would have been helpful. But, there are adapters and other workarounds.7. Solid, well-built.8. Small and sleek - matches the color of my MacBook.Overall, I'm quite impressed with this one and very happy with the price. Definitely recommend!

It's the best dock out there in the market with a sturdy premium integrated build quality.I have the following setup:Macbook Pro 16inch (2021 Apple Silicon model) connected to two 27-inch Dell monitors. This dock does the following1. Uses only one USB-C port on your Mac to connect and render to two different screens.2. It does this using InstantView software.3. NO! IT DOES NOT FREEZE OR INTRODUCE LAG TO THE CONNECTED DISPLAYS.4. Reviews that mention screen freezing, jitters or dead pixels need to review their MacBook Pros and strip them out of any malware or other damaged software. If nothing works, reach out to customer care and they will help you (even send you a free replacement if required)**Note** - I am a full-stack software developer so my MacBook runs heavy IDEs, libraries, and lots of software. None of the software lags in any screen that is rendered using this dock.Challenges and the amazing customer care serviceThis dock comes with a micro-SD reader that has no click to lock, so I ended up pushing it and the dock swallowed the micro sd card. I contacted the customer care and they immediately shipped me a NEW DOCK.The response time was impeccable and I have the peace of mind that customer care covers up any shortcomings of the device.

This is my second USB-C docking station I’ve purchased from TOBENONE. I bought this model specifically for use on my M1 Macbook Pro because of the low-profile footprint that travels easily and support for up to three monitors. My setup right now is dual monitor. One is 4K (HDMI) and the other is 2K (HDMI). Took me a few minutes to install the InstantView driver on the laptop and no issues were detected even when plugging and unplugging from the laptop. I tested all the ports, and everything works perfectly. The only two features I have not fully tested is the VGA port and the ethernet port so I can’t comment about those features. I do like that it powered with a 65W power supply, so I have a backup option to my Apple charging cable which is also 65w.I also swapped my other TOBENONE docking station that I have been using on my M1 Mac Mini to see how this model would perform. Everything worked as expected and I am very pleased. (I didn’t test VGA or ethernet on the Mac Mini either). Now, I can’t speak for longevity on this newest docking station purchase, but I can tell you that my other TOBENONE docking station has served me flawlessly for the past 7-months. And that is the reason I chose to buy this model without hesitation when putting together my travel setup for my M1 Macbook Pro.I will update if I spot any abnormalities but based on my previous experience with TOBERNONE I doubt I will have any challenges.

It delivers. I almost spent a lot more to get support for 2 screens for my M1 Pro, but I found this device and it works very well. It gives stable two monitor support for 1 HDMI and 1 VGA. The ports and connectivity are very useful. I'm currently using the power supply (but not passing through), the USB port for my backup drive, the Ethernet port for internet, HDMI for one monitor and VGA for the other. Setup is easy and the driver is very stable. I highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. BUYER BEWARE!If your have more than one user account on your M1 Mac, your going to run into trouble with the included macOS InstantView Software!The software is poorly made and when you switch user accounts, the app disconnects HDMI port 2 and will show an error message saying 'please connect docking station'. When you switch back to the original account the app will simply freeze.When I reached out to support, the concluded that the only solution was the quit the macOS InstantView application before logging out. Then they had the nerve to tell me that they would let me know when there is a promotion on an updated version of the hardware?!?! Yeah OK... like I am gonna BUY another product from you after the first one never worked right.Needing to remember to close the application before switching accounts is a real annoyance, and prevents you from simply using Touch ID to switch accounts with one click.From a programing standpoint (I own an IT Company) they either need to update the included software so that a task kill command is sent when a user account is locked or switched. Or, I need to find out a way to do that myself.If I or the manufacturer figure anything out, I will update my review with a solution.
