Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway, Flying Scotsman

This engine is packaged different than the other engines. It is in a domed box so that it will sit out on a shelf. It is a rather unique engine with the large wheels and the double tender. I'm split on whether my son should get to play with it or not. (I really want to play with it too).

Fantastic! Unique face squinting one eye, lively lighter than Henry green paint, two large inner wheels, long skinny boiler, pin stripes, and two large tenders! That's not to like. I do not see enough superiority in the Learning Curve version to justify the extra price over the Fisher price version [this one].

This product is far better than the Mattel trains. I can't give it five stars only because it still uses too much plastic. However, its quality for price ratio is very high, particularly considering the rarity of the "Flying Scotsman" model. My grandson asked for it by name and he loves it. Also, it is one of only a few that I have seen which accurately depicts the Flying Scotsman's tenders. That is, several products I have seen have only one coal tender and no wqter tender or two coal tenders. My grandson is pretty savvy about such things and wanted the "real deal." Fisher-Price delivered.

I got this train as "Dada's train" because my little would not let me push any of her trains, but she kept asking me to play trains with her. Since this one was Dada's train from right out of the shipping box I now have a train to play with her when we play trains Fun is had every time. I have also read up on the history on the engine this toy is based on very interesting.

this is a very well built and sturdy wooden train. My Grandson's eyes lit up when he opened the package....Just what he wanted. Free shipping with Prime is excellent.

Great set for the quite low and generous price. My son loves his Flying Scotsman, especially the fact that it comes with 2 large tenders, so he has something to shunt around/

This guy is huge, two tenders and eight wheels, this engine can haul some heavy loads. This would have been a five star, but package arrived open during shipping or handling and packaging did not seem new. He looks exactly like picture and a unique engine for your wooden railway. Highly recommend as this engine is rare, and does not always seem available.
