Ambient Weather WS-0262 Wireless Internet Remote Monitoring Weather Station with Indoor Temperature and Outdoor Temperature & Humidity

Such a disappointing weather station. This was a replacement for another Ambient Weather product the WS-1400 - I had two fail in less than six months and was tired of going up on the roof to deal with it. I figured this would be an acceptable downgrade, all I really need is temp and humidity. Shortly after installing it and getting it connected it to wifi I noticed the temperature displayed was about 4 degrees higher than the actual temperature. Checked it against a Fluke thermometer and another known accurate thermometer and yep 4 degrees off. I decided to try another two to see if I just got a bad one. They arrived yesterday and after setting up all three here are my findings. The exterior sensors are all pretty accurate within 1/2 a degree - same for the humidity they all were within a percent or so of accurate. The indoor temperature is the problem. The problem seems to appear when they are connected to wifi. The indoor temperature shows about 4 degrees higher than actual. When the wifi is off the temperature is within a degree or so of actual. I picked the one of the three that was the most accurate and returned the others. In less than 24 hours I received an email from Wunderground saying my weather station was offline for the last two hours. I found the wifi icon slowly flashing which meant it was connected to the wifi, but not the internet. I found that odd since everything else in the house was communicating fine online. I tried unplugging it and letting it come back up, no change, then I rebooting the wifi/cable modem, no charge. Finally I reset the base unit with a stick pin and then it came up. I can't imagine why within 24 hours it would need to be reset. I still have 29 days left to return it we shall see how it does. So far it's failed.

Garbage. Works fine if you don't connect it to WIFI. Shows temps 4-5 degrees higher if you do. The whole point of this device is to be able to connect it to WIFI, otherwise I could buy something for 1/2 the price.Tested two separate units, both have the same problem./sadness
