2 Kayak Carry Handles with Kayak Hardware (Kayak Carry Handles for Kayak) - (Fit: Ocean Kayak, Lifetime Kayaks, Pescador Kayaks, Emotion Kayaks, Perception Kayaks and other major brands)

These handles seem to be good quality, and so far are working great. To the eye, they look identical to the handles that came originally on my Ocean Kayaks Malibu Two XL. The only difference are the holes on the mounting rectangles. Whichever kayak shop put my handles on originally, used slightly bigger screws than the hardware the comes with these handles.My kayak has metal receiving holes to receive the screws, so therefore I couldn't use the new hardware. Which was completely fine, I'd rather not re-do all of those holes in the kayak. I'd rather keep the original waterproof holes that were made from the shop.All I had to do to make these fit my old hardware was take a drill & just make the mounting holes in the plastic rectangle a tiny bit bigger. Only took a few minutes, and they screwed in perfectly using my old existing hardware.You may get lucky and not have to do any of that, they may just bolt right up to your kayak depending how big your holes are.I'm able to lift up my whole kayak using just 1 handle. So they seem to be very strong. (Not recommended, sometimes I have to do that when loading up by myself).I recommend this product for anyone with broken / ripped handles.

I put additional handles on my kayak just to make it easy to put on and off the carrier. I really like these and they are as good as what came with the kayak.One note the mounting holes aren't pre drilled and I used a circular punch to make a clean cut but I think a standard drill works too. They don't come with the mounting nuts but there are some good options out there. I used a nut that has a rubber shell where the rubber squeezes and makes a seal at installation.

Very durable handle and easy to install. Stainless steel screws shipped with handle is not practical for a 50+ lbs kayak. I replaced and used stainless steel screws with washers to ensure mounting.

I was a bit worried about finding a handle that would fit the holes already in the kayak for the handles but since it is the same maker, and same design as what was in there, they fit great! I had to drill the holes a bit bigger in the handle but no biggie. The straps on the handles are not quite as long and so my hand doesn't clear the kayak quite as well as with the orginal, but otherwise they are great!

Bought these for a 10ft Lifetime kayak that came without side handles. Using a cordless powerdrill, or cordless screw driver, makes installation very easy. I'll admit, the screws they included look pretty small and I had my doubts that they would hold when picking the kayak up by the handle but they held strong with absolutely no problems. These handles make carrying the kayak so much easier than the crappy end handles most kayaks come with now days.

On my last kayak trip 3 weeks ago, one of the handle straps on my older model Ocean Kayak Prowler 13 ripped off on one end during loading. Upon return, the other side ripped and the handle came off in my hand. Searched a number of places for a replacement. Ocean Kayak had exact matches for $29.99. I found the product on Amazon for $9.99, chose free shipping and paid no sales tax. Took a couple of weeks to get but the replacements look exactly like the original...what a deal. Although the supplier's "kit" contained wood type screws, the original handles had machine screws and the inserts for them were already in place. Only thing I had to do was drill 8 holes through the new handle mounting pieces and screw them down. Replaced both side handles. Whole set up looks like it did from the factory.

The straps did not fit exactly, but were easy to install, and are of high quality. I believe they will last a long time, since the kayak is old, and the other straps rotted with age. The handles are comfortable and make transporting the kayak easier for two people.
