I have bought two of these cables. The first one shorted out after about a year of use. I have had the second one for just under a year and it seems to be holding up just fine. I am in my car a lot as I commute to work, so every time I am in and out of my care, this cable gets used. I don't have a fancy head unit with bluetooth or anything, so this cable has been my solution. Installation was very simple. It was just "plug and play" so to speak after removing the head unit. This is a good quality cable at a decent price. I would buy it again if the need were to arise (which it hopefully won't).

Worked perfectly with my Kenwood KDC-MP228 receiver
This is a very economical solution to those who wish to add a connector cable for an iPod/iPhone to play their iTunes on a Kenwood receiver. My receiver is the Kenwood KDC-MP228, and while it's not exactly new, I wanted to keep it since it is still working just fine. I also have a Kenwood KTC-HR100 HD Radio unit added on to my receiver utilizing the same plug connector. I was not able to plug this iPod cable directly into the back of my receiver, so I plugged it into the back of the KTC-HR100 HD radio unit which is daisy chained to the receiver. Simply press your SRC button until the display says CD Changer, and you're in business. (There may be a way to change the display name for this in the receiver's menu, but I haven't found it yet.) If you can put up with the display saying your iPod is a CD Changer, it sounds perfectly fine.

Works great on Kenwood KDC-4024
I installed this on an old Kenwood KDC-4024 (in a 2003 Toyota RAV4), then snaked it around to an empty spot in the blank faceplate above the stereo. I drilled a small hole and inserted/screwed in this adapter: "3.5mm Stereo Feed-Thru Panel Mount Jack" (product B004JX64FE), then connected it all up. Now I've got a professional-looking 3.5mm jack on the dashboard and I can play my MP3 podcasts on the stereo's AUX input.

Worked exactly how I wanted.
I purchased this to use with an old Kenwood car stereo. Now I can easily connect my cell phone to my car stereo. Installation will require removal of the head unit from the dash. Then it just plugs into the back of the stereo.

This did the job.
I order it, when it arrived. it fitted the radio and worked like a charm. Had it for a couple of years. then I sold the car.

Worked out fine with a KDC-316S
I recently got a rather old Kenwood KDC-316S as a freebie. The headunit worked great for me and I didn't want to waste it just because it didn't have an auxiliary input. This cable remedied that problem, and along with theĀ Philmore 3.5mm Panel Mount Stereo Jack with Gold Plated Metal Housing : 45-399G , made a clean install. One thing to keep in mind: The connector that fits into the headunit is larger than you might think. You'll need almost two inches of clearance behind the headunit for it to fit comfortably.

Lengthy and of good quality
While you can just hack your way into creating a cable with a 3.5mm audio cable, it rarely stays in place when yanked (trust me, I've pulled out the head unit several times when my DIY cable got disconnected. This cable stays in place and is lengthy enough to comfortably traverse the front seat area of my CRV as needed.

Used to add an AUX port to an older stereo.
Saved me from replacing my older stereo. Sometimes I have to cycle through audio options for it to connect to my phone's aux port but after that it's perfect.

As expected, iPhone connected!
Hooked up easily once the stereo was removed from the dash. No noticeable deterioration in quality compared to CD player. The construction quality appears to be good. Was a much cheaper option than buying a new deck, which was all I was hoping for!

A well made cable
This appears to be a well made cable and the DIN connector fitted the socket perfectly. I didn't measure the cable length before fitting but I think it is about 0.5M. No problems connecting or in operation.

Totally Useless
Connected this lead to my AUX socket on my Kenwood unit and... nothing, unit reset, powered off etc, the device is not even recognized. Got a cheap lead from another site which works fine - complete waste of money.
