If only we were all this honest...
Adam's debut novel is a page turning, chapter engulfing book that you just can't put down. The raw, emotional energy that is emitted from the words on the page has you in tears, horrified at the atrocities this man has experienced - but then the next page will have you in a fit of laughter as you see some of your own behaviours and habits mirrored in Adam's story. The glaring truth is sometimes hard to face, yet Adam has managed to bare his soul on these pages. This story is about finding love. The twists and turns and the lengths we'll go to for it. After all, love is the strongest emotion we'll feel and we should chase it with all we have. Without giving away the ending (and with any memoir, the true ending is still being written) but we learn that through it all, through everything the world throws at us, we learn that in fact love can conquer....

Rolicking Ride
From the moment I got this book I couldn't put it down, it's the sort of read that gets you laughing out loud, weeping, blushing and nodding... It's well written and from the heart and is scarily relatable at times! I'm looking forward to his next publication.

Couldn't put it down!
Only one chapter in and I missed my wedding dress fitting because I couldn't put this book down! There were times when I laughed out loud and others where my heart broke, but one feeling was constant throughout; the comfort of of a catch up with an old friend that starts over a morning coffee and ends over countless bottles of wine. Put the kettle on, stock the wine rack and enjoy

Fast-paced, amusing contemporary Aussie novel!
Published late last year, this memoir is a series of entertaining stories/essays about Adam’s search for love and sex and the misadventures that befall him along the way. The book is mostly set in Melbourne, though in the final chapters Adam impetuously moves to Sydney to be with Jason, a guy who is ardently pursuing him. However, this romance quickly curdles once Adam has moved in and Jason reveals that he actually works as a prostitute. He also enjoys hitting the alcohol before midday, along with the bong – while the nights are for harder drugs. Jason is also thrilled by all the furniture, equipment and clothes that Adam has moved into his squalid apartment. But extricating himself from this nightmarish situation isn’t that simple as Adam abandoned his life in Melbourne to be with Jason! Adam Brady has an accomplished and engaging writing style – the only problem is a tendency to overwrite and occasionally labour some of his metaphors. But ultimately the target readership is unlikely to notice or care too much about these quibbles – this is fast-paced, amusing contemporary Australian gay writing and that is a rather rare commodity these days!
