Works well
Smaller than I expected but it works well. Used it to crimp some 24 gauge wire.

Works great!
My new go-to crimpers for heatshrink butt connectors and misc terminals. Have crimped a bunch of red and blue butt connectors, a few yellow butt connectors, and a couple ring and spade terminals so far (all heatshrink) with 0 issues, crimps look and feel solid and it doesn't damage the insulation. Pretty solid feel with a compact design, can't see any reason these won't last a while.I'll be using these heavily for the next few months, so we'll see. If my review hasn't changed, they're still holding up!

Don't buy, get a name brand & be done with it
don't crimp worth a damn, can bite it closed better

Terminates wires with male or female Dupont connectors with 100% yield and reliable strength
When used with precision, the tool terminates wires with male or female Dupont connectors with 100% yield and reliable strength. To get these favorable results: invest in a precision wire stripper, follow a good set instructions precisely, and use magnification (if you're over 40, like me) ... +2 diopter reading glasses work a treat.

Good for automotive size wires
First impression after a few crimps is that this tool is well made. It is a good size for 14,16,18 gauge wires. It is for use with non insulated barrel type connectors. Much better than pliers type crimpers. Better crimp and easier on the hands. Finish up with heat shrink tube over the connection. Way better than mashing the plastic covered connectors.

Like factory connection
Needs some breaking time a bit stiff to use at first

Good
It works but only for smaller gauge wire. 16 ga max

Mangled My Heat Shrink Butt Splice Connectors
I tried using this with some TICONN 22-16 gauge (red) heat shrink butt connectors, but it mangled them. The pic shows the result of trying to crimp using the correct (red dot) part of the tool for 22-16 gauge connectors. I did not even fully crimp this to where the tool released, and instead crimped it most of the way, and manually released the claw, since I was hoping to find a way to use it where it would not overstretch the heat shrink material. Unfortunately I could not find any amount of crimp that would work (a full crimp on the butt splices did a worse job). I tested the stretched part of the insulation with a multimeter, and although it did not cut through, I didn't need to poke the probe very far to get a beep on the continuity test. I think the problem is that the jaws have too large a gap, and are too aggressive for heat shrink connectors. It looks like the gap between the dies in the jaws, lets the plastic catch and get drawn out. This tool would probably work fine for non-heat shrink connectors, though I'd look for something else for use with heat shrink connectors.
