I grew up using Fram and have never had an issue. This was put into a 2021 Mazda CX-9 Carbon Edition. It’s a quality built filter that does the job well. Good price for the quality of filter you get. There was no nasty smell and it fit just like the OEM filter. This is a product I will continue to buy.

The filter looks exactly as pictured in the description. Since my CX-4 Grand Touring is not naturally aspirated but rather turbocharged, you must be sure to select a filter specifically for it to prevent any dirt/dust getting by and damaging the turbine or anything else in your engine. The filter itself appears well built and the filter media used is even in thickness. Fram has been around for a very long time and I've never had any issues with their filters. The Extra Guard filter offers extra protection without sacrificing air flow according to Fram. Installation took less than 5 minutes. Fitment was precise as it dropped right into place. Very pleased with my purchase.

The dealership has been trying to replace my filters for awhile but asks for a ridiculous amount in labor costs. I didn’t realize this was so easy to install and saved me about $90

easy to install. i probably won’t check it again until i go to replace it in the recommended timeframe, which i definitely will do and not let it go longer than that.
