Samsung EF-XN950APEGUS Galaxy Note8 Alcantara Cover, Pink

This is one the more unique cases I have used. It's a bit on the expensive side for a minimalist case. I'm sure this doesn't offer high drop protection, but it's stylish and feels wonderful in my hand. I purchased this as an alternative to an equally expensive Otterbox case that continually slipped out of my pockets. The faux suede like materials grips the hand and pockets surprisingly well. I have been using this case daily for almost a year and it looks almost brand new. It's surprisingly durable surface that doesn't stain or get dirty easily. I've cleaned it only once and that was easy and simple. I get more curious comments on this case than any other I have every own. It has a cool factor most minimalist cases don't. It fits the Note 8 snugly, never even coming close to releasing it's grip. It's small form factor doesn't add much to the already large size of the phone. The weight is negligible in the hand. The edge and corners sit just high enough above the glass face to protect it when face down on a flat surface. This is a sweet case for those of use who are not hard on our expensive electronics and desire some style to show them off. I chose the grey.

When I saw this case at Best Buy and felt it, I was originally not a fan. I thought $50 for this case that will... Be ruined if wet? Stick to my pockets? Get stained easily?... No thanks. So I purchased my tried and true Caseology parallax case and was happy...until I got bored of my case. Then I got the Spigen thin fit in Orchid Grey, which I loved except the cut outs started hurting my fingers after a long time of use. Then I've ordered other cases and switched between the group of cases as I wanted something different.I saw this case on Amazon for only $20 and I thought, shoot for $20 I'll give it a try... And I LOVE this case! I really didn't think I would love it. I thought it would be ok, at best. It's made by Samsung so all the buttons line up, and it fits the phone perfectly. The bottom of the case is open so you have access to the charging port, headphone jack, S-Pen and the speakers are not being blocked. The camera and fingerprint sensor cut outs are also perfect.At first the "fuzzy" feel of the case put me off, I wanted to take it off the first day, but I just decided to keep it on and the more that I used it, the more I liked it. I like the feel of the case now, and the fear of the case sticking to the inside of my pocket has now turned into a plus because I'm not worrying about the phone slipping out if I squat down for something or anything like that. And when I have my hands full, the case gives it extra grip.I don't know how the case is going to be a few months from now, whether it will loose it's "fuzzy" texture, get stains I can't remove, etc... But for now, I'm really enjoying it.

Let me AlCOUNTara the ways I love thee... hyperbolic? Definitely, but still, I really enjoy this case. As other reviewers have expressed it's one flaw is that the Alcantara on the edges wears off, but aside from that I have nothing but praises for this case. It feels like an extension of the phone as opposed to a bulky case and the Alcantara makes gripping the phone a breeze and I'm still easily able to Qi charge. An unexpected plus is if you have an Alcantara surface like the type cover of a surface pro, you can literally hang your phone on it. The two pieces of Alcantara almost act like seamless velcro, creating so much friction that you can leave the phone at an 80-degree angle. Perfect for watching a movie in-flight. No, this won't protect the phone from much of a drop, but that ought to be expected from a case this small. If you're looking for a slim case that'll protect the phone from scratching on all sides and provide a great deal of additional grip in an attractive form factor, this is the one I'd recommend.

When getting this case I looked at the comments in depth as I do for almost everything I buy before buying and saw many people saying they were disappointed because the case got dirty very quickly and wasn't extremely high quality. Considering the price (which is medium) I agree that the quality could be a little better but I am pretty happy with anyway. Here is my experience:If you are looking for a case that doesn't slide out of your hand very easily, this is not for you. While the suede/clothe like fabric that is the outside of the case feels awesome on your hands and keeps your phone from sliding off a lot of surfaces like a leather couch (we have one that is the slick leather not the soft kind so I appreciate that my phone doesn't fall off the arm rests), the fabric does not create friction between your phone and you hand and does not have grips as well making it mainly a fun, lightly protective case.If you are looking for a case with high protection and don't plan on using screen protector, this case is not for you. This case is best paired with a screen protector as it is more of a light protection for your phone (short distance falls and nicks and bangs) than a shield from everything out there. I paired mine with a screen protector and am very pleased with the combination as it provides the minimum protection I need to keep from damaging the screen and phone from when I drop it (which is more than I would like but not terribly often).If you are looking for a case that doesn't add a lot of extra size and weight to your phone, feels great, makes your giant Note 8 fit in your pockets better, and looks pretty, this is definitely the case for you. I am glad I bought this case and would probably buy it again but I think maybe it could be a little bit cheaper in price. In my experience the case does get a little dirty but the color is still obvious and from what I have heard all you have to do is wash it with some dish soap and warm water and it'll look a lot better. I have accidentally banged my phone really hard on corners of doorways (I know, I am a clutz) and have gotten two nicks in the fabric that some times stick up off the case but I have mostly been able to press them back down and they stay down pretty well. The nicks only went clothe deep though and didn't injure the intercity of the case while also completely protecting my phone, I am impressed. Watch out for pen stains and the like, I accidentally got pen on it and don't know how to get it off. Also watch out for wet surfaces because it will make the clothe part damp and you have to feel it be wet until it dries (but it doesn't get through to the phone from my experience laying it on wet surfaces). Otherwise the case is in great condition and I am pleased with it. Would recommend with a couple disclaimers. I am in love with the pretty Samsung detailing on the back and the metal perimeter around my camera. I can easily log into my phone using my fingerprint no problem and the case doesn't get in the way of plugging in any aux or charging cords. It also doesn't block either front or back camera at all. Since the Note 8 is so big, I love this case for the simple fact that it adds very little size to the phone (making it fit in pockets better) and compliments the sleek thin style of the bare phone by itself.
