These feel like plastic. And because of that, the "screws" or pegs used to install them on to the exterior (mine is wood siding) they brake very easily. One of the pegs broke simply by screwing it in, and another peg broke while I GENTLY used a RUBBER mallet to install them into the PRE DRILLED holes. I got all my installed, but it took a few rounds of Gorilla Glue (which is awesome) to do so. Seriously, they shouldn't be more than $5 each.

The metal studs supplied with these numbers are very cheap molded pot metal. Because of this they cross-thread and break off very easily when you are trying to install into the thin brass plated pot metal number. Additionally, the studs that don't break off during installation into the number, will break if any load at all is put onto them when tapping into your wall. This is another example of cheap Chinese garbage being sold at a price you would expect a quality product. The price for these pieces of junk should be a couple bucks rather than a $100 for purchasing five numbers for my address sign. Hillman has lost its way, and these are a rip-off.

This is one of the best 1's I have ever owned. It sits on my door, indicating my address in a stylish and golden manner. I'd buy it a beer if I could.

The mounting hardware is made from soft metal that doesn’t hold up to the mounting technique. Got the first two numbers up but the second one has broken all the mounts. The holes are aligned and even had bored one out larger to give some play. But they are not durable enough to mount with confidence.Now I’m having to reorder since I have Two of them up. Very frustrated.

Utterly disappointed that the product fell apart in my hands during the start of installation. Had all the directions and was installing step by step but the mounting screws snapped like toothpicks. Would love to get refunded all 3 numbers. They are pretty but absolutely not functional.

I just installed them 2 months ago and they are already turning color. Very disappointed. Now I going to have to paint them. Once you install them it’s not that easy to take them out, plus I already drilled the holes on the wall.

I love the look of these numbers. They are just what we were looking for. The only issue we saw was that some of the numbers do not match up with the template. So make sure you mark the correct spot before you drill. They did not seem very complicated to put up, we used silicone and they are very firm in place. They seem pretty durable too unlike what other reviews have mentioned.

It’s been on my door for over a month now. Still feels secure and the finish is still perfect. So far so good.

These are beautiful house numbers. Slender numerals give a modern look. You have the option of flush mount or stood off by about 1 cm. Mounting is unusual - studs push into the wall. Contrary to some reviews the mounting studs are metal. The studs are fixed into the wall with glue or caulk. Each numeral comes with a marking/drilling template. When the studs are screwed into the numerals a good tip is to leave them slightly loose. That makes it easier to insert the studs in the wall. Rather than the recommended caulk, I used viscous CA glue, so just had to hold for a minute or so. I'm delighted with the result.

Exactly as anticipated. Easy to install, easy to read. Small difficulty with poorly cast threads on support pins resolved by filing away the offending threads.
