Q: If you're just using it for an embroidery hoop and not quilting do you have to wash it? I saw another post that said you shouldn't wash pre-cut fabric

I use pinking shears to trim the cut edges and pre-wash before sewing it. If you intend to wash the finished project, it's my opinion that the fabric does shrink slightly after washing. Since it is 100% cotton, it also wrinkles and requires a hot steam iron to remove wrinkles. Shrinkage might be similar to using Aida cloth for cross stitching.

Kona cotton is machine washable. The manufacturer recommends you machine wash on cold and tumble dry on low.
