Big hit with our hens!
This is a better value than the 5 lb bag of meal worms I had been buying. These dried larva also are much bulkier, seeming 3-4 times in size. From what I read online, raising BSF are more eco friendly than meal worms, requiring less water and carbon to raise. They also are packed with more protein. These come in a well sealed, resealable bag (use scissors to open-not perforated) and inside a sturdy box. My hens scoffed these up. I'm very pleased and will order again.

Great Value- FAT delicious worms for our chickens
We buy a lot of worms and most worms bought on-line are deflated and crushed. This bog of worms came in perfect condition with fat worms for our chickens. They give these worms 5 chicken toes up!

it's great they have calcium (better than regular dried worms)
These are pricey-- as are all th dried worms/crickets etc. So 3 stars on "value for money" only because they are not "cheap." If the question was "appropriately priced for this type of item/market" then I would give 5 stars because they are no more expensive than other products like it. Money aside, these are especially good health-wise because when you give your girls a lot of treats like I do, you have to be careful not to imbalance their calcium. You can end up with an egg-bound hen and that is SO scary and just the worst. SO: I prefer to offer these calcium-rich treats (instead of the regular worms); regarding the rating for "flavor" well, I have no idea what they taste like!!! But my girls seem to love them. So I gave 5 stars for flavor because I ASSUME they taste good!!!

Great price
These were a great price, 10lb for less than $40. However, they took FOREVER to ship. They didn’t actually ship out until I finally reached out to Amazon and asked for a refund. So that was irritating. Otherwise they’re a good deal for everything you get, and the chickens are happy now.
