delicious and a new must have for my pantry!
Love the flavor and the crunch! So far the matcha is my favorite flavor but I haven't had a flavor yet that I didn't love. Even my kids love these bars and I had to hide them so they don't get stolen from me lol. Great ingredients and a super convenient way to get more protein in my diet.

Official Flavor Ranking
Good! They're clean and you get what you get for that, you know? Haha. But most importantly - here's the flavor ranking: Vanilla base: 1) Matcha 2) Blueberry. You don't taste the matcha - it just tastes like a sweeter vanilla. The blueberry is OK, but not as good as matcha. Chocolate base: 1) HOT CHOCOLATE - don't bother buying the others hahah it's the best but if I had to rank the others I'd say 2) peanut butter 3) pistachio 4) almond 5) hazelnut. Hazelnut is a bit bitter - it is definitely not Nutella. Hot chocolate is the best bar by far. That and matcha are worth buying again!!

A good tasting crunchy bar.
A nice way to become acquainted with the bars and the different flavors. I like the crunchy texture and the fact they are gluten free and vegan. I switched from another bar because I enjoy the texture of this one more than the chewy bars. It's a little small, but it will stave off hunger and has a good amount of protein and is fairly low in sugar.

Heads up - ultra processed snack
I like the flavor variety and the crispy, puffed texture of these bars—they’re enjoyable to eat and convenient. However, the ingredient list makes this more of an ultra-processed snack than a true clean protein bar. Ingredients like palm kernel oil, vegetable glycerin, and sunflower lecithin are all highly processed additives that affect texture and shelf stability, not health. For most people they’re generally safe, but those with sensitivities or who prefer cleaner, less processed ingredients may want to use caution. Great taste and crunch, just not as healthy or natural as the branding suggests.

New recipe is too different
Peanut butter flavor: September 2025 - manufactured in Canada, recipe changed. In my photos, YELLOW = original and ORANGE = new. I have been ordering these consistently for probably a year or more. My latest order arrived with new packaging (orange instead of yellow) and a new recipe. The original recipe’s top 4 ingredients are pea crisps, dark chocolate, tapioca syrup, peanut butter. The new recipe’s top 4 ingredients are pea crisps, tapioca syrup, peanut butter, soluble tapioca fiber - chocolate is #13. The new bars seem to have more chocolate than the old ones but the chocolate is much lower quality. It’s more like chocolate confection than actual chocolate. The peanut flavor is also much less pronounced in the new bars. In a side-by-side comparison, the new bars taste strongly of tapioca syrup/sweetener syrups. It’s akin to big-brand sugar-bomb granola bars, unfortunately. The new bars are much more dense and chewy than the old bars. The amount of syrups holding the bar together cause the crisps to lose some of their crunch. The new texture is, unfortunately, much closer to a regular run of the mill protein bar than what Mezcla was originally. I understand Mezcla is probably facing supply chain issues due to the state of the global economy, but it would be much appreciated if the new recipe’s top ingredients could attempt to align with the old ones. These bars are $30+ for a 12 pack already (and I wouldn’t be surprised if the price continues to increase now that they are manufactured in Canada). At that price point, I expect to be paying for chocolate, not tapioca chocolate-flavored confection.

Good tasting bars!
I really like these, I like that the nutrition contents are good and there’s protein in here. Also the taste and consistency is actually delicious and doesn’t taste like chemicals! Such a nice variety
