The Snow Joe Premium Enviro Blend Ice Melt is a great product. It works fast, helps keep walkways safer, and is easy to spread. I’ve used it in winter conditions and it does exactly what you want an ice melt to do, break up ice and improve traction. Pros: Effective, fast-acting, easy to apply, good value Cons: None so far

After trying at least 5 different salt ice melts i finally found one that works great! The price is great! It was easy to use as i just filled a bucket and sprinkle it on the stairs and driveway. Having the green color it was easy to tell where i had put it and still needed it. It works fast and and helps keeps the ice from forming. I will def keep buying this product and i definitely recommend if you need a fast acting ive melt for an awesome price!

A friend who works in the snow removal industry (plows, shovels, de-icing for commercial properties) recommended this product to me as it was the closest I could get without a commercial contract where this type of product is delivered by the truckfull. I am familiar with rock salt and the use of kitty litter, both of which have negative effects on areas surrounding sidewalks (plants, grass, etc.) This product says it does not harm surrounding vegetation and it doesn't. It performs better than rock salt and actually melts ice rather than act an aggregate like kitty litter. Even better, once down and the ice is gone, it somewhat "protects" the sidewalk if more snow, sleet or ice follows. The other thing thing that is great is the lack of corrosion on metals. I shovel the sidewalk of a neighbor who is in a wheelchair and has a long aluminum ramp. This product keeps the ice off of the ramp and does not corrode the aluminum. It also does not affect my wrought iron railings. The amount used is not great. I would suspect that it is less than rock salt or kitty litter, so the application per weather event is less, which makes a difference when comparing costs between de-icing methods. All in all, this is a really good product, even though you kind of hope you never need to use it. Who wants to deal with ice or sleet on driveways, ramps, sidewalks and steps? But if you have to deal with it, this is a winner of a product.

Works great and quickly on ice. The only problem is that the granules are large and hard to walk on.

I used this ice melt on my driveway after a heavy snowfall, and it did a great job breaking down the ice quickly. I spread it over the tire tracks and slippery areas, and it started working almost right away. The ice softened and melted much faster than regular rock salt, which made the driveway a lot safer to walk and drive on. I also like that it doesn’t leave behind a thick residue once the snow and ice melt. The crystals are easy to spread and cover a good area without needing to use too much. After using it, I noticed less refreezing overnight compared to other products I’ve tried before. Overall, it’s very effective, reliable, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do during winter weather. I’ll definitely keep this on hand for future storms and would recommend it for driveways and walkways.

I really like this Ice melt. It continues working even days after applying. I like that it is a safer option and won't harm animals. I will be buying this again as it was very reasonably priced.

Honestly in all my years of home ownership with snow/ ice storms this snow melt is hands down the best I've used. The first time I threw it down it melted the snow and ice quick but not only that days later it was still working and well too. I was impressed by this ice melts performance. I just ordered a second bag that should hopefully get me through the rest of the winter.

It's winter in NY again. And every time I always forget ice melt. Went browsing and prices were through the roof! Found this bag that is eco-friendly and it was cheaper than the big brand rock salt that will destroy concrete. And it works! I spread it around on areas of pure ice, came back later and the ice was gone. This stuff worked and was reasonably priced. I'd buy this brand again for sure.

This ice melter acts very quickly! After two days of freezing rain, the path was covered in a two-inch sheet of ice that formed on top of the snow. I scattered the crystals along the path and the ice started to crack as the ice melter worked its magic! Very pleased with this product. Most important feature, it is environmentally friendly and not harmful to pets and wild life such as squirrels and birds that visit the area.

It works, slowly but works. It doesn't help prevent shoveling like the usual brand i buy does, I still needed to shovel slush. I like to put it down before a snow fall, I can't physically shovel.

The salt had gotten damp and it was just solid clump of salt. We had to chop the whole bag up to usable size with a hammer. Not impressed with this product.
