Easy to use Dehydrator
I just got back from a boar hunting trip and had a ton of hog cuttings left over from the butcher and thought it all would make great jerky. I started looking at food dehydrators on Amazon and there are a LOT of them. I decided on this mid priced model hoping I made the right decision. When I got it, I was pleasanly surprised at the simpleness of this machine. I have never used a dehydrator before but making the jerky was a breeze. Just prep the meat, load it on the trays, set the temp, set the timer and dehydrate. The control panel is so easy to figure out, a first grader could use the machine. The jerky came out delicious and perfectly soft like I like it. A few hints if you like your jerky softer - slice the meat very thin against the grain and pull off the jerky when it has the consistency of shoe leather. Trust me, it works!. The only bummer is cleaning the trays. There isn't much you can do about it since there has to be a ton of air vents to let the warm air blow through the trays. The machine itself does make some noise when running but nothing that would be irritating. More like a medium hum.I also bought the extra trays since they weren't too expensive and they really did come in handy. I didn't think I would need them but space gets used quickly when laying out the meat. I highly recommend getting the extra trays since it takes a few hours for every batch of jerky you make.I haven't tried dehydrating any fruit yet but I think it would be equally as easy.THe dehydrator also comes with a a recipe book which has some great suggestions for jerky and fruit,Another great Amazon purchase.

Great package
You get a wonderful machine that can consistently dry delicate items as well as cook jerky, plus the extra trays that let you use it's full capacity. I have this brand air fryer and love it, and not disappointed at all with the dehydrator. You don't have to use all the trays if you have a smaller batch. All 7 trays store easily on the machine.

WORTH IT
I use this to make my dog chicken treats and it is wonderful. I cut up chicken, throw it on the rack, hit 2 buttons and 8 hours later it is done, simple as that. It is way cheaper and healthier.

Works great as a 3D Printing filament dryer.
I bought one of these to use as a filament dryer for 3D Printing. I cut the plates out with some side snips to fit the spools.24 hours @ 130F and filament has <10% humidity, quiet and works great. One of the issues with purpose built filament dryers is that there is no forced air to remove moisture.

Not worth it. Doesn't heat evenly.
The Corsi already struggles to dry with five trays. Expanding it to seven is the absolute limit. You will need to rotate your trays every few hours and the temperature gradient between the bottom try and the top try is pretty large. When I tested, the top tray maxed out at around 138°F even when the Corsi was set to 165. Hot enough to pasteurize, but not evenly cooking if the base tray was 165 as the device claimed. You could feel the large heat difference along the sides, too.Don't bother with the extra trays. If you're only dabbling in dehydrating, they're not worth it. If you're serious, you'll want to return the Corsi and get something bigger and better at evenly cooking.

But I have a long handled soft dish brush and I have no problem soaking them and lightly scrubbingThis machine is a smart purchaseI love it well worth its money
