This was a really good buy. Could have been a little cheaper. The product works great once I put it together with my barrel. I would diffidently buy another one. This works good in a building for heat.

This is a great item and not cheap thin metal, it works great on my 55 gal barrel heater

Easy to install. All you need is a barrel, a drill and an angle grinder. I ended up just using mine outside so it rusted up pretty badly. The damper won't stay open on its own anymore but I always run it wide open anyway. This kit works to turn a barrel into a woodstove. Leaks everywhere so I probably wouldn't use it inside, maybe in a cabin.

I skipped the barrel and welded up a 20 inch pipe. It will last longer and the door worked out great.

This BSK2000 has thicker cast then the BSK1000, the flue collar is slightly larger in diameter but still made for a 6" chimney. The door opening is 10" x 11" (25.4cm x 27.94) The legs on the BSK2000 seem to fit a 55 gallon barrel better than the BSK10000 At this writing the BSK2000 is worth the $2 dollars more IMO Very simple to put this together, with a couple hand tools (and I used a jig saw to cut the larger openings), a 55 gallon steel barrel, and a 6" chimney. Heat output is good and burns slab wood to a fine ash, logs burn longer...and different types of wood will very your heat output. Length of burn time will also very by the types of wood. Typically I get a 12-16 hour burn starting with a barrel full of wood.

It took a while to get the parts but they were well worth waiting for I built the stove with the double barrel one on top of the other and it heats my garage beautifully I would recommend this kit just remember you attach the bolts through the holes that you cut for the stove pipe

I am Pleased with this kit. It’s easy to assemble. I used spray paint to mark where to cut. I used a reciprocating saw to cut the barrel. The smoke stack adaptor could be a little taller but it works fine. I guess my only complaint would be the vent doesn’t let in enough air. If you have plugs on the top of your barrel, position one of them at the very bottom (directly under the door and draft vent) to let more air in.

Absolutely love this kit. It was easy to assemble on a good sturdy barrel.. very much happy with it. It was also an added bonus. They threw in an extra couple nuts and bolts. Because I dropped a couple on the ground. Haha

Exactly what I needed to make a barrel stove. 4 stars because the spring on the door fell off.

As described, makes a good wood stove for a pool heater.

cast iron kits are the best for making up a heater but my last order was made from tin and is basically garbage to use for a barrel heater. had to order one that is 55 dollars more to get cast iron i sent baCK THE ONE MADE FROM TIN AND HAD TO REORDER XAST IRON ONE WHICH HAS GONE UP TO 200.00 SO BASICALLY 59.00 UP IN PRICE PER KIT
