Quality product
I could have bought a non Brother product but consider paying a little more for Brother original product to be worthwhile and as the ink lasts for a very long time, even though I use the printer most days, I'm Ok to pay a little more. It's a quality product and extremely easy to install and Brother also provides a free pay envelope to return the empty cartridges for recycling.

Great value. Works a treat. Yes the cartridges are like twice as expensive as other brands, but they last about twenty times as long. I’m happy with my Brother printer. If Brother keeps innovating like this, I’ll stick with them.

How to recover from lack of print
Problem when I fitted the Cyan And Magenta cartridges the printer would not print, non error massage. I had to load document from Brother "Check to print Quality" follow the first part of the script . after that the printer worked perfect.. DO NOT USE COMPATIBLE CARTRIDGE, THEY DO NOT WORK-

Broke after a year
Worked for a year then stopped working pretty much exactly a year to the date. Black ink won't print at all, tried a second cartridge, paid for the ludicrously expensive Brother cartridge. Customer Service was useless. Warranty was only six months, so it's a piece of junk now.
