Another solid disc by Yikun
I have a few Yikun discs and they've all impressed me. The plastic has a nice premium feel (similar to MVP's Proton plastic or Innova's Champion plastic) that is glossy and very durable. The disc I received is stamped on the bottom with "172g" and when I weighed it on my home scale, it also weighed 172g, so no deviation there which is nice. The disc has quite a bit of dome to it (see pics) as wellThe disc is fairly understable so the -2 turn and 2 fade flight numbers seem reasonable. I wouldn't call this a 13 speed though, it feels much more like an 11 speed in terms of behavior and rim thickness. This is probably not the best disc for beginners unless they have a ton of power just because of the high speed rating that it has, but for what it is (an ~11-13 speed disc), this disc serves its purpose perfectly. All in all, this is a very good disc, if I didn't already have a comfort level with my MVP Wave I'd very likely be adding this to my bag. As it is it feels like a viable replacement should I ever lose my Wave and is a great addition to my field work arsenal. Would recommend!

Suitable for Intermediate Players
I asked my son who plays a lot of disc golf what he things of this disc. Here is his statement:"I'm an intermediate player, having played about 3 years. The Yikun Qi is slightly understable to stable high speed distance driver. Because of its speed alone, 13, this disc is not suitable for beginners. Pros probably would find it too understable, but for those of us in the middle, it could be a good disc. I've done a little field work with it and bagged it for 1 round. The plastic (Phoenix) and flight characteristics are similar to the Discmania Astronaut in Active premium (also made by Yikun), but the Qi flies a bit more stable for me. The Innova Shryke and MVP Catalyst are the most comparable molds by other manufacturers. It's very domey. The Phoenix plastic feels durable, similar to other transparent, durable premium plastics like Champion, Lucid, etc. I prefer to throw slower discs, but I will continue to work with the Qi because I think it could yield some good distance on open courses. My new favorite driver
The media could not be loaded. Pros:-Big fan of the Yikun brand. They have quality discs that fly great and Im a sucker for the illustration on each disc.-This disc flies further than my older, slightly cheaper discs. Has great lift and a slight lean to the right.-Disc has a smooth bevel. Usually I smooth out the lip a little so it doesn't cause too much abrasion on my finger but this was great.Cons:-None that i have noticed. Looks great, feels great, flies great.
