I was floored with the price my dealership wanted for an OEM cabin filter so I went straight to Amazon. As soon as I surprisingly saw that K&N made a cabin filter, for my car, for less than OEM I purchased it immediately. The filter fit was very snug (K&N filter logo toward the passenger side) and the supplied filter door snapped into place nicely (MAKE SURE IT CLICKS IN!!!). I'll happily purchase the recharge kit for this as well as that is even cheaper than another OEM filter XD.

Had to order twice and both times it was missing the cover door. The actual filter does seem of higher quality but it's not functional without the cover.

I ordered this as a replacement for the wrong part I received because the description was off. This part arrived unboxed (very strange) and I thought it would not fit my Mazda 3 cabin filter space, as it had no tabs on top and bottom to seal the front. Called K&N and they let me know i had the correct part number, but there should have been a box it shipped in with instructions and a sealing plate to cover the hole. Amazing sometimes what Amazon is thinking in its warehouse. If i had not called K&N (Kudos by the way to their great customer service) and Robert helped me out and found that i had the correct part, just needed the cover plate. He took my address and is shipping me one for free to make up for this Amazon blunder. K&N still gets 5 stars!!!

Nice product. Fits correctly. Has a non-offensive chemical smell which i hope will dissipate. Mine came with a missing part but K&N customer service was superb. Just installed it. Will see how it performs in 6 months.

I gave this 5 stars, because, K&N quality is top notch. The downside, the gen 4 Mazda 3 (I think thats the generation that is currently being made) and gen 1 CX-30 have the cabin air filter compartment "door" built into the filter itself. That said, after speaking to O'rielly as well as my local dealership, Mazda has essentially trapped us into buying OEM filters for the time being. This is the first time I have ever seen this on a car and I am shocked there is not a third party option. That said, YES this filter DOES fit in the 2019-2023 Mazda3 BUT it does NOT have the "door" built into it like the OEM filter has.I am said this doesn't work because I love K&N quality!

I purchased this K&N cabin air filter (Part#: VF2074) for our new 2023 Mazda 3 Hatchback Carbon Edition, and it fits perfectly. The OEM Cabin filter has a permanently attached cover for the HVAC airbox, and this K&N filter does not. K&N supplies a separate airbox cover, in the box, along with the cabin air filter. Both the cabin filter and cover fit like a glove. I highly recommend this K&N cabin filter, and all of their other great products.

I assumed it would come with the door piece that my 2022 cx-30 needs based on other reviews, unfortunately it did not. Otherwise, my experience was as advertised.
