A great mid/high tier headset.
I've only owned a couple $80-100 headsets in the past but they were good. These, however, are terrific!Sound: A resounding deep bass when and crystal clear ambiance make for great immersion while gaming or watching a movie/video. The volume might not get to where it'll blow out your ear drum as many complain but I promise you it's more than enough. The noise cancelling is almost flawless and you do get a sense of your surroundings as TB claims. I will warn you that the Super Hearing featured can be a bit jarring with it's MEGA treble so turn the volume a bit for that. Overall it's worth every penny.Mic: The feedback I get from the gang is great. I'm told that my comms comes through as if I was in the room with them. The 'Flip to Mute" is great for when the wife thinks I've neglected a thing or two and would rather my squad mates didn't get to be a part of that conversation. The boom feels sturdy and I'm not worried about any breakage.Comfort: Game on my friend. The battery will die before these bad boys cause any discomfort.Battery: To be expected or a bit better. The Bluetooth is on by default so make sure to cut it off to get the most time out of your battery. You can expect 5-7 hours on a full charge.Quality: Ok, a lot of people gripe here. Personally I think it's spoiled first world problems coming out. These are plastic. You can't expect cast iron toughness here. And while some think that makes them cheap, I see it as an added benefit. These puppies are feather light (see Comfort).Summary: But them now and if you find them on sale... buy 2.

Yes, this is what I was missing!
Bought this to replace my wired headset of the same manufacturer, the Recon 200. I loved the audio clarity of the Recon and, honestly, thought I had found the best deal out there for headsets.Upon getting my new one set up, I was immediately impressed by the mic monitoring feature which allows you to hear yourself in your own ears. It's actually really nice to know how loud you sound to others, but certainly not *necessary* for most people. Then I got into gameplay with others on a PS party chat. THAT'S where I noticed the biggest difference. I am now able to individually control the chat volume from the game sounds (COD: MW). Took me a minute to get the levels dialed in perfectly, but once I did, my ears were much happier! With the old headset, I found that I was often wishing the game were louder, or the chat, and then the game again, then chat again... It was a never ending circle of wishing one were louder than the other. Now that isn't an issue at all!As for the audio quality and clarity, at first I didn't like the sound. The EQ seemed low-end-heavy, without much sharpness to the highs. I missed how clear my old Recon 200 was- I could hear details and tiny pebbles falling from the wrecked buildings around me. However, as I played more, I began to notice that what I was hearing *more* of was the important stuff: you know, footsteps on the ground OUTISDE the building I was in, and other stuff like that. As I played even more, I began to notice those more subtle (but unimportant) details, like the aforementioned pebbles falling, but could also now hear the direction and distance of footsteps. The "virtual surround sound" on these is amazing! I no longer just heard footsteps to my left- I could now pinpoint whether they were near or far, and could actually hear them change from in front of me to behind! I'm super impressed with this feature! The only real negative thing I can say about these is the comfort of the headband. On my Recon the padded headband was super comfy and I didn't even notice it was there, even during longer gaming sessions. The padding on the Stealth headband isn't as soft/forgiving, and I found myself adjusting it to a few different positions over the course of a couple hours. Not a deal breaker by any means, as I think the superb audio quality and the ability to individually adjust chat/game volume are of much greater benefit.Overall highly recommended! I only wish I wouldn't have tried to go the cheap route when I first got a headset!

It's a good quality headset with some great features.
Now that I have used my new Stealth 700 headset for a few weeks I can share my opinion on them.Pros:1. The headset seems very sturdy design. I don't feel I am going to break them like I did my Sony Gold headsets. This was the main reason I quit buying the Sony Gold headset. I broke two of them although I was very careful with them. The materials were simply weak.2. The sound control on the PS4 is great. I can control chat and game audio independently. I like that it uses simple roller knobs so that I don't have to keep pressing a button to change the volume. Simply roll the dial to where you want it.3. The iPhone app is a nice touch but I honestly don't think the noise cancellation does anything. I have tested this many times and can't tell a difference at all.4. The Bluetooth audio is not an option I was looking for but now that I have this headset connected to my iPhone, I don't know how I ever lived without this feature. The ability to answer a call while keeping my gaming headset on is amazing. I simply roll the game audio dial down and the chat audio up when I am taking a call.5. The voice chat is crystal clear. I can hear my friends clearly and they can hear me.Cons:1. Some features for this headset can only be accessed with your smart phone. I found this awkward because it forces you to download the app and use it in order to access things like Noise Cancellation.2. The headset is sturdy but this also makes it stiffer than my Sony Gold. I found that long gaming periods wee not as comfortable as I hoped. I find myself adjusting the headset over my ear from time to time to alleviate some pressure. It's not that bad but just thought it's only fair to mention it.3. The audio cuts out more often than I like. Wireless audio cutting in and out is expected but I found that it happens more often with the Stealth 700 than with my Sony Gold headset. Once again, it's not too bad but why does it always happen during an important scene on a game? :-(4. The 3 main buttons on the headset are difficult to locate while they are on. You can't really tell what your finger is hovering over since they all feel the same and are very close to each other. It would have been nice if each had a protruding shape like a Triangle, Square, and Circle to help determine which button you are touching.Despite the cons above, I feel these are still very good headsets and I am enjoying them. If they made some tweaks to future models, I would suggest for Turtle Beach to improve the cons list above which I think is reasonable.P.S. I love the flip out boom mic. I never have to question if my mic. is on or off so I don't worry so much with what I am saying.
