Looks nice and works great. That is about all you can ask from a corkscrew. The Hicoup waiter's corkscrew is a better quality and works better than a lower cost waiters corkscrew I own. The Hicoup corkscrew also has a foil cutter which is a better feature than I thought it would be and my lower cost waiters corkscrew does not have a foil cutter.I've had several kinds of wine bottle openers (two prong cork pullers, wing corkscrews twist and pull corkscrews and cheaper waiters cork screws) and Hiccups waiters corkscrew is the easiest tool to use to open a wine bottle. It took me a couple of bottles to get the hang of how to use this cork screw efficiently, but once yo do, it makes it very quick and easy to open a bottle of wine. The foil cutter is a great feature and works on foil, plastic, everything I've run across.A really great product, high quality, works great, nice designs and you can choose your handle style.

I got this wine key for my job as a server where i would be opening many bottles of wine. I was very new to it and had my coworker Try it out and she said it was the wine key from hell. But once I got a hold of it and knew my way around a wine key it became one of the most efficient ones in the restaurant to the point where that same coworker who borrowed it shortly (after I broke it in) asked me where I got it from because it's so good. It feels ergonomic. The grip is nice, sometimes those fully metal ones can hurt your hand.The design is very formal and sleek. I got many compliments on the wood detail. it's sturdy I've dropped it several times and works just as good. I've opened many difficult bottles of wine and it has never failed. The foil cutter is very sharp. I would be careful with that because I did cut myself a couple times.

Got tired of the cheap openers breaking. Bought this looking for a well built, durable appliance. Works as expected. Throwing those other cheap souvenirs in the thrash now.

I was looking for a good corkscrew after one that I really liked cracked its handle and started to fail. I saw what was available on Amazon for around $10 and settled on two for a comparison. The two I purchased were the HiCoup and the Digision. This is a side by side review of these two.The general designs are almost identical. Both of these steel corkscrews have wood trim. I picked the rosewood for the Digision (the only choice) and ebony for the HiCoup. Both are lovely with a good finish and operate in the same way, a fold-out foil knife and a two-stage lever to extract the cork (don't ever buy a single stage corkscrew!). Both are similar weight, I haven't weighed them, they feel pretty much the same, but I think the Digision is slightly heavier. Both are efficient and easy to use when you know how to use them (They both have a first-stage lever that you push in toward the bottle top when the corkscrew reaches the proper depth).The differences? Both have a serrated foil blade but the HiCoup has a finer toothed blade (I prefer an un-serrated blade). Also, the ebony handle on the HiCoup looks very attractive but, aside from those advantages, the Digision has a closer fitting two-stage lever made from a slightly heavier stainless steel. Out of the box, the Digision operated more freely than the HiCoup. For example, I had to force the HiCoup lever to its full extent while the Digision moved the same distance with little effort.Finally, if this is a gift, the Digision comes in a nice slide presentation box while the HiCoup comes in a simple card container. One note of interest is that while the Digision has a very nice box, someone at Digision probably has a different job now because, when you open the box, the Digision logo on the corkscrew is not facing the viewer.

Cool wine opener. I bought the white handle. Pretty good looking. The HICoup wine opener is a quality product. I like this type of wine over vs. all others. It has a fluted corkscrew for ease of going into the cork. The dual hinge on the opener is very easy to use. The size is smaller enough to throw into the backpack when going on road trips.It looks really nice and is stylish. You can’t beat the cost for a quality corkscrew. The foil cutter is serrated and makes it easy to remove the foil.
