Awesome value for the money- quality track connections makes it stable- the grandkids & their dad put down their phones & tablets & had a blast-I had to go to bed but I could hear cheering & squeals of delight- I ordered the “2 extra track set recommended by another reviewer & good call little more money lots more fun = blazing speed on long straights !!! Easy setup & take down when they come for the weekend it goes up on arrival & down when they leave for home :)

I bought this for my son on his eight birthday. We played it all day and he was thrilled with it. I had a slot car race set when I was a kid, a nice one, and this one is much, much better. The cars got better after using them for an hour or so. I think they had kind of a break in period. They began to hug the track even better than at the start. It has a neat feature on the hand control, it's a removable clip that acts as a governor. When the clip is on it keeps max speed to 70% which is still fast. With the clip in I found I still had to slow down for curves. With the clip out the car is really fast and it requires more skill to race well and remain on the track. But whether the clip is in or out there is the turbo boost button which is so much fun, works very well, and makes the cars just fly. But yet, you can still maintain control with proper bursts of turbo at the right moments. The cars will fly off the track if you give it too much speed but that is a big part of the fun. We laughed often when we'd crash at the intersection or fly off the track. Also the looped track (we always called it loopty-loop) works great. The banked curve works great. Both require additional skill but not too much for an 8 year old. I'm very impressed with the fit and finish. Assembly is easy. Track pieces fit tightly together. Nothing slips apart or moves around while racing. I'm impressed with this toy. I'm planning to buy extension components for Christmas gifts.

This review is for the High Speed Showdown set. Bought this for my kids' sixth birthday. Was a bit worried that he might not have the patience for it, but he loves it. It takes a bit of practice to keep the cars on the track but that skill is what makes it fun and challenging, and once you get the hang of it it's a blast. The media could not be loaded. I remember my older brother having carrera and enjoying it with him. This Mario Kart carerra is perfect for my 10year autistic son, who loves playing Mario Kart on the Switch with me, and this is now also another way of us being able to play together!! Him and I are getting the hang of it! It's pretty durable, comes with Mario and Luigi (i bought Yoshi in addition as he LOVES Yoshi the most).The essambley instructions are a bit confusing, only a piece of paper and it doesn't really make it 100% clear on some parts where to put them together, but I figured it out nevertheless! It is functioning properly and worth the money spent!! We will get lots of play time out of it. Looking into buying the add on tracks in addition to this!

A great set. Grandkids love it. Cats are bigger than HO and run well.

Looks nice… cars won’t stay on the track and stop on certain areas which is rendering it very frustrating / unusable to us cuz the cars won’t even stay on.

This thing is great and high quality. The kids love it and you can get replacement parts like it's meant to last, which is rare nowadays.
