So many people recommended this brand for my new serger so I got it, and you do need 4 cones so I was glad to find this 4 pack.I had a terrible time getting the plastic wrapping off the cones tho! It says not to use anything sharp, and I have short fingernails so I had to gently use scissors at the top to even get the plastic to start tearing. It has a white strip down the side and says to tear along perforation but it does not tear along it!! I had to pull downward and it sort of spiraled down a couple cones but two kept tearing off part way down and I had to gently get it going again. I found this ridiculous. I was just glad the thread did not come unwound from these efforts.

Great value for the price! Works well on my 20 year old Bernina serger. I like this thread.

Works as expected

I've been using the Maxilock brand for several years now in my serger. I've found it to be consistent in quality and thickness, durable and reliable. Thread is smooth and I have less lint to deal with. I also use my older spools in my regular sewing machine using a thread holder. In that application, it works just as well or even better than my regular polyester threads. I wish Amazon sold it in more colors though.

I use for both piecing and quilting. Good neutral color - blends well many colors

I wanted a neutral thread for serging that I would not need to change this meets that need.

I ordered four spools of thread for my serger. These should have fit into a very small box but instead of efficiency, amazon is very wasteful. Like other companies, they waste big boxes on really small items..

I love this thread. It does not break as I sewing with my surger. I could feel the smoothness of the thread with my fingers. Purchased another generic brand which kept breaking. I’d recommend this thread to anyone with a serger.
