I there a warranty on this item?
we got this installed (MY son) in May as our weather was bad before that/ I have now noticed that it is not working. I thas not been taken down at all. No really bad weather at all. Very disappointed in this/ It is the second one we have had; My yard is very important to me, I'm 89 years old, recently widowed and the yard is my summer sanctuary. I don't have the dealers name

NOT WATERPROOF
NOT WATERPROOF.....Worked good the first day, after that it wasnt very bright and didnt stay on very long after dusk. I thought because I installed in the winter and with short days that it wasnt getting enough sunlight to recharge fully. I took the light down and reinstalled 2 weeks ago (April) and still didnt work right. I checked the batteries and 2 of the 3 were dead. I then replaced all 3 batteries with new freshly charged batteries. Noticed 4 of 6 tiny screws that hold battery covers were stripped . Reinstalled on flagpole and it rained heavilly for 2 days, light did not come on at all. Removed light and found it full of water!!! I took it apart and dried out interior, the solar panels are not sealed, the panel that came off was held on with one dab of hot glue or silicone. This light can not be weatherproof without sealing the panels with silicone. I don’t know if this was just a defective item or if thats how they are all assembled. I sealed the unit up with silicone after soldering a wire that had corroded from the water intrusion, and it now works but will not shut off. The photocell circuitry must have been water damaged as most of the components inside were corroded. Bottom line is if all these units are manufactured without sealing the solar panels this flagpole light is useless for outdoor use.

Very good light.
I really love this light but I think it would provide more light if the cones each LED is recessed into was reflective instead of just white like a flashlight. It would disperse the light outward more and increase the overall lighting effect. But I love it anyway it is like a little halo over my flag. The picture is done with slow shutter speed so it looks a little better than the naked eye but does the job.

Light is out before daylight.
The light is very bright and looks great when on.Doesn't last through the night. I live in Las Vegas and we have a long day with sun light and a relative short night.

The light is very bright, but does not last all night
I installed this product on my flagpole earlier this week. The installation is very easy, you take off the flag pole topper, place the light onto it, and the put the topper back into place. The flag pole light is incredibly bright, illuminating a circle all the way to the ground.Unfortunately, the light has not lasted the whole night since I purchased it. It turns on around 9pm and the batteries die out by 12 or 1 AM.Overall, this is a good product is you want a bright light while you are awake, but it does not last until morning.

For $20, it does the job!
Would paying an electrician several hundred dollars to install up lights work better? Sure. But for $20, it does a decent job. Doesn't illuminate the whole flag when unfurled, but I can live with that.Update: Died in November 2019, so I got over two years use out of it. Replaced the rechargeable batteries in the unit, but that did not bring it back to life.

Not the quality that it used to be.
Had this same light for several years and decided to purchase a new one. After installing the new light I noticed it does not stay lit more than 2 hours after dark where the old unit would last almost 8 full hrs. I don't know if the batteries in the new unit are bad and not holding a charge or if the recharging mechanism is malfunctioning. Either way I am not pleased with this new purchase. I purchased a new one in September 2021 and then decided to purchase another just weeks after that. Have not opened the last one up yet as I am so displeased with the first new light. Hope you guys read this and maybe take some type action for me.

Does not last, spend a bit more for better quality with better reviews(as I'm doing now !)
DO NOT BUY ! Clearly the product quality is hit & miss. Take a look at other reviews, I used them as the basis for my purchase figuring 1 or 2 bad reviews but overall positive I'd take a chance. Oops, don't think like me ! I placed it outside in the sun for a day to test it before going thru the effort of installing the new flagpole with this light on top. It came on, seemed ok but dim, figured it just needed more charging time which would happen once it was up on the flagpole. Silly Me. Assembled the new flagpole with the light on top and installed the pole with some help. The next 2 days were nice & sunny and it came on once it got dark out but it was dim & didn't stay lit more than an hour. 3rd night the sun came down and the light didn't even come on. It hasn't come back on since. I'm buying a different one, will take down the flagpole once I've received and tested it-for a week on the ground this time !
