Decent Quality Window for the Price
I purchased this window to replace one over my workbench in my garage. I was looking for a basic vinyl window to replace the old metal framed one that no longer opened. I also needed one that would install from the inside allowing me to leave the metal frame in place from the old window. This one fit my needs perfectly. It's not a top of the line window by any means, but it's made well and priced right. As far as the installation goes it was pretty straight forward, but a bit of a customized install in my case. I removed the old window but left the outside frame in, which stuck out about 1/2 inch, so I could butt this window against it from the inside. This allowed me to put a bead of caulk on the old frame to provide for a nice seal and I did not have to remove the metal frame which would have been a real pain. I had to cut off the mounting flange which was pretty easy just using a utility knife. In my case I also needed to cut off the outside flange which was a bit more work as it's much thicker and not made to be cut off like the mounting flange, but it worked, just took more time and a few blades to get the job done. This left me with a pretty tight fit, but it went in fine and only required a few shims and some drywall screws to attach it securely. It slides very nicely and latches easily as well. The latch is not heavy duty, but again and this price point it's more than adequate. I would definitely recommend this window, but consider this more of a "utility/budget" window. Great for a garage, cottage, outbuilding or a similar application where a top of the line window is not needed. For the price and quality it's a five star window. If you are expecting a high quality top of the line window (like Pella or Andersen), at this price point, you are being unrealistic. That said I have no reservations recommending this window for the uses I noted in this review.

great window
I ordered this for my garage attachment. It was delivered damaged, sent it back and the day after, I received a new one! Easy to install and the quality is great!

Great deal
Was B/O but worth the wait at only 100 bucks. Quality is satisfactory for temperate climates. Seals might not bee good enough for Alaska.

The window detail it is designed for a rough cut ...
The window detail it is designed for a rough cut 48 x 24 inch opening. However, the non-removable channel provided to work with siding is 49 x 25 inches, and could not possibly slide into a pocket rough cut of 48 x 24....

Winter will tell....
We really like the windows. The easy to install, a lot depends on the installer and the house they are going into. They slide nice, and lock easily. Winter will tell how well insulated they are.....

Good buy for the price.
Nothing high dollar but well worth the money.

Be careful not to install upside down like we did.
Pretty easy to install but holes seemed oddly placed. You could easily add holes to vinyl flange I’m sure but my husband wouldn’t.
