This device is used on a Sony Flat Trinitron from 1999 via S-Video and composite sound and I use it to play content from Kodi and retro video games from a laptop. Older shows and games just look better on a proper CRT TV. I do like the picture quality and the ease of use.

I was hoping they would work with my old camcorder, NOPE. I am sure they work fine with the right equipment, that is why I gave it 4 stars.

I have an old Sanyo 15 inch 720p, LCD tv from 2005...using in my kitchen and no HDMI input, only RCA and s-video inputs on the tv. I used this adapter for a firestick. I was expecting degraded video quality and furthermore, the screen is 4/3 aspect. This adapter works well, the video quality using the s-video input is very good, not HD but it's close, certainly watchable and I'm very picky about image quality. also...it displays the video full screen with very little image cut-off, no bars on the sides of the screen. Very happy with this....I hope it lasts. (fyi the image quality is better through the s-video input....with the RCA input....the images in the video was a bit fuzzy around the edges and the blacks were a bit washed, but not horrible by any means.) if you use the s-video input, you don't need to input the yellow/video cable as well...just the s-video, red, white inputs.

I bought this to play my SNES Clone system on my CRT TVs. and it WORKS! Other products often do not work on a 480i TV, which the vast majority of CRT TVs require. The wires feel a bit cheap but the video quality is really GOOD even without the S-Video. :) I even can hook up my Google Chrome and stream movies and videos. But the video is reformatted to better fit a CRT. It makes people on TV look just a little thin. Most wont even don't notice but I do. But over all it is a solid buy at the price. You should get this one for sure.
