what is the exterior height of this cooler? It states that the height is 2.75" but when opended it is 12" I don't follow this.

I work out of my car and use ice packs in my lunch boxes, how long would my food stay cold sitting in my car (mainly during the summer)?

If the bag is empty not as much as if there was heavy items in the bag. If u plan on having light items in the bag I feel like the snaps aren’t as strong. The heavier weight keeps the snaps more secure. But either way I love this bag for what it’s meant for and very durable as a carry cooler.
