I purchased these replacement pads because my loyal and old pads were cracking and fading after 5 years of daily use. Also, and more importantly, the old pads were not very tall which caused the actual speakers to touch tops of my ears. This meant that after hours of sustained use (per session), the pressure the cans out on my ears eventually cause pain.I bought these pads to remedy this issue and they seem to be working excellently. They're, soft, taller, and block external noise a tad bit better.These pads, from the seam, are about 34mm tall while the stock pads are about 15mm tall. These are a whopping 19mm taller which means that my ears will no longer hurt when wearing my headphones! If you are having a similar problem, then these pads are a good immediate solution to the issue.Time will tell how these pads hold up. I am concerned that, due to their softness, they will eventually flatten and lose whatever rigidity they have. I will update my review and score accordingly. For now, these are an inexpensive fix and repair for your old headphone pads.

These are a must have. They are thick and comfy for long sessions. I attached a photo comparing the standard cups with these thicker cups. Definitely recommend.

I had to wear a knit cap to cushion my ears since the original ear pads were so thin. I have owned these AKG 240s for 40 years, yes you read that right, and they are the only ones that can handle the bass when I play my bass through headphones. With these new ear pads, my favorite headphones are once as good as new, and no need to wear a knit cap while wearing my favorite headphones. I thought they were kind of expensive, but the leather and padding is top rate and better than the original ear pads.

A nice replacement. at first you think, too small to fit. But be patent working around edge slowly working and stretching the surround. They fit!

These are just wonderfully comfortable! The original AKG K240 vinyl pads can be installed easily by the spinning method using the open slot to start the spin, but these are a just bit smaller in diameter and are more elastic, kind of like rubber, so they do not spin around the phone. So I just used my index finger and pushed on the stretchy rubber from the inside of the pad working my way around the phone and they can be installed in about a minute. The pads are thicker than the originals so when over my glasses temple they are very comfortable. They also block out more external room noise and the bass sounds a bit fuller, which is good because the AKG K240 is on the weak side for bass response.

I have K240 headphones that I bought back in the 1980s. They still sound great but the foam pads were disintegrating, so I tried these as a replacement. It takes about 10 minutes to remove the old pads and install the new ones. The new pads are softer, thicker, better noise blocking, and more comfortable. Highly recommended.

My K-240s had been put away because the "leather" had peeled from the ear pads. I stumbled across these and decided they would be cheaper than new headphones. WOW! These are SO much more comfortable than the original pads. I do voiceovers and narration and sometimes have these on for several hours at a time. Sometimes I forget I have them on.A tip: when you're replacing the original pads put the leather in at the notch in the headphone frame. Then SPIN the pad like you're trying to close the lid on a jar. They will go right on with no resistant and no stretching of the new pads.10/10

With a little bit of work the new Ear Cups attached to my headphones, they are comfortable and soft so the headphones are comfortable to wear again

Non mi ero reso conto fino in fondo di quanto fossero rovinati i cuscinetti delle mie ormai vecchissime Akg k240, finché qualche giorno fa non mi sono trovato con le orecchie nere perché si stavano letteralmente sgretolando. Con un rapida ricerca su Amazon ho trovato questi , che calzano a pennello e sono anche molto più morbidi e comodi. Stra-consigliati!

I bought them as a replacement pads for my AKG K550. According to seller, they're compatible with the K550s. But in reality they are way too small, lacking about 4-5 mm in radius. Really unsatisfied with the description. My photos show the original pad (right and bottom) and this "replacement" (left and top). I'm returning them. Depending on how the seller handles the return, my review may be updated. But the fact that they do NOT fit K550 remains.

Came on time, good quality. Easy to fit and very comfortable for long use.Would buy again
