Takes home cams to a new level
This is my third iGeek camera and, I must say, they keep producing high quality and very usable products. I’ve had several different types of WIFI battery powered outdoor security cameras in the past and the two areas that make or break a good PIR camera are (1) the “intelligence” of the PIR motion sensing which triggers the recording and (2) the battery life. I had Netgear’s Arlo system with 5 cameras and each one took 4 CR123 lithium batteries. The motion detection would trigger with insects, rain drops, shadows, change in sunlight levels and every manner of things whilst often human motion would be ignored completely. And each trigger event just kept draining the batteries. So I was lucky to get 4 weeks out of a set of batteries with all the false positives. And at £25 for a new set of batteries for all 5 cams, Arlo became a very expensive project.Fast forward to this iGeek camera, for c. £90 you get intelligent motion detection which does not do false positives and hence, the battery lasts. I haven’t had it long enough to test the claims of 180 days battery life but the fact it is rechargeable means it costs next to nothing to run. And add a cheap solar panel - plug it into the iGeek and that’ll keep it charged up indefinitely. The setup is very straightforward, the image quality is full HD 1080p and the dual antennae mean that it’s range is much further than other WiFi cameras. The app is simple to use and monitor all your cameras through the one app.Overall a great little camera which easily betters the big-boy competitors - oh and you don’t need a pesky hub - it just connects directly to your WiFi router.

Fantastic Camera, Excellent Picture Quality,
Firstly the camera came on time, really well packed. Unboxing it and lifting it out I realised it was a decent bit of kit. Solid to feel, not flimsy at all. The wall mount is metal which was a surprise for the price.Set up, others have said it takes 5 minutes, and I have to agree. Really simple, download the app from either play store or apple store. Register, find the device, sync it and then you can pop in your Wi-Fi password scan the QR code and Bob's your uncle.Picture Quality. I'd seen some in the reviews and was a little sceptical but honestly, they are a true reflection of the quality. We have it facing down our driveway and it is clear all the way to the bottom, (around 20/25m). It works fantastically well in low light and seems to amplify the ambient light enhancing the image, night vision is clear and still makes out everything we need.Microphone. This is a nice feature although not sure if I'll use it a great deal but like the fact that I can listen in if I want. Did notice the microphone picks up wind noise although not a big deal (it was quite windy). The App. Fairly easy to navigate, and if you turn phone to landscape the picture fills the screen (or at least it does on my phone)Motion Detection. I have left it on default which is 8 (out of 10) and it picked me up but a cat walked past and it didn't detect that.Memory. I added a Micro SD card to it rather than the cloud, simple to install and should do the trick. Charging via a USB so not a issue.Overall really impressed with the build quality, feels solid and has a nice weight to it. Picture quality is excellent and the push notifications is a great feature. The App is fairly easy to use and I liked the fact it told me where I had good & bad signal for the Wi-Fi.Would recommend.Update product no longer works.

Overall, very good quality unit
Camera was easy to install, took around 20mins from the point of walking outside to back through the door with up on the exterior of the houseSo far the battery is at 85% with 2weeks usage, if the run rate continues at this rate then it’ll be around the 3month mark when it needs a recharge (I tend to check the camera a lot via the app for notifications which will affect the battery life)The WiFi signal has been holding up well, roughly 85-90% most of the time. Occasionally it will take a few more seconds to load but nothing to complain about and overall performs really well and displays the images quicklyThe app is fairly straight forward and allows you to screen shot as well as record live video if you wishThe camera will only record human activity as this helps the battery to last longer. Having said that It would be really beneficial if there was an option to record vehicles as well - I live at the end of a road which is used as a turning bay and cars tend to get close to our driveway so would like the option to record in case of damage to our vehiclesThere are the odd occasions where it misses people and doesn’t record them but overall it picks up most passerby’sFor the price, ease of installation and quality of the product I’d definitely recommend. If you prefer a camera to record 24/7 then wireless isn’t for you as it would kill the battery in no time. But for the rest who want some added peace of mind you can’t go wrong

Excellent CCTV Camera
Camera arrived quickly and was very well packaged. Easy instructions to follow for camera setup and connecting to the WiFi. It feels a very robust camera for it's size. The App is very easy to use, the battery life is very good as the camera has been up a couple of weeks now and it has not used alot of battery life which is a massive bonus. Also a good idea to be able to monitor the battery life from the App and also the alert when it gets to 20% is excellent. It seems to be keeping a good connection to the WiFi in light of where we have installed the camera which is fantastic, previous ones we have had have lost their connection, this seems to be keeping good connection so far it will help having the 2 adjustable ariels enabling a stronger signal strength.Recording movement from a Micro SD card and Cloud option is a bonus. The picture is great quality day and night, the images are crisp and clear. The 130° angle lens is a bonus for a wide coverage. The PIR motion detection is great as there are no false alarms that I have had with other camera's in the past.I would highly recommend buying this camera. I have had camera's in the past and this tops them for getting high quality for the price this is a great CCTV camera.

Excellent battery and solar camera
I wanted a reasonably priced security camera for the front of my property. Having had Ring devices at a previous address, I didn't want to keep having to charge batteries and paying a monthly subscription. The iegeek camera is light, very easy to install and set up. The picture quality day and night is excellent and I get alerts that someone has called when I am not at home.Highly recommend this piece of kit. In addition, there's a two year warranty, and customer service by email is superb. A function I needed was not apparent, but on sending an email, I got a reply and a screenshot of how to access the function the same day. Very impressive.
