OEMTOOLS 24846 1250 lb. Rotating Engine Stand, 1 Pack

I read reviews from most other engine stands on amazon and saw everything from neck deflection issues to missing parts. This was the most surprising purchase I've made on amazon yet, tell ya why n a few. I'm a union industrial mech by trade and was not intimidated by the reviews of missing parts or needed modifications and honestly didn't know what to expect, except to expect some kind of issue. Because every stand had some bad reviews I decided to base my selection more on the pics than reviews, it had to look well made. This stand had one review when I purchased it. I expected at least a beat up box missing parts, which seemed to be the most common issue. The stand showed up on time, on a truck w lift gate and pallet jack, which was great for a residence. The box was strapped on a small pallet completely intact and undamaged. When I opened the box I was still skeptical. Couldn't have been more wrong. First, it was packed very well and this stand was very well made. Well made to me means overbuilt strong, finishes well executed and everything lines up and makes sense. It did. All the hardware was there, no holes had to be chased, paint wasn't even chipped. With 2 sockets, impact wrench and crescent, assembly took about 20 min's for one person. It was more money than I expected to pay when I started looking for a stand but worth every penny. You get what you pay for. If you want something for one or two uses and don't mind something a little sketchy, this ones not for you. When I spend a little money I only wanna spend it once. I lucked out with this one. Reading my own review, I realize it sounds like a sales pitch. All I can say is you'll be satisfied with your money spent here.

The bolts that are in the kit are very poor quality. I didn’t trust them to not break or fail and get myself hurt by not being able to get away in time. I used all grade 8 and 12 bolts of my own and have no worries of frameWork failing

More than I expected. Easy to assemble and very sturdy

THE STAND LOOKS GOOD. I TRY TO PUT TOGETHER ONE OF THE LEGS DONT LINE UP PROPERLY. I CAN EASILY MODIFY BUT FOR THE $$$ PAID SHOULDNT HAVE TOO!

Great stand. Holds 5.9 cummins sideways. Smooth operation very little head backlash. It would have been nice to see a grease fitting for head bearings.

Definitely can’t hold the weight it advertises. Bows down very badly when fully dressed engine is on it. Gear box is pretty sloppy when rotating. Definitely not worth it.
