Q: Is the box supposed to be a disastrous mess with seasoning every where on it to the point you can't open the packaging?

Planned obsolescence. Now the box requires the entire too ripped open. I guess I'll have to get out the tape again.

Q: how long does this seasoning last

Forever. I have herbs that are so old they turned almost white. Of course, I tossed them. Dry herbs last a very long time, but Bells seasoning gets used pretty regularly, so I replenish every couple years.

Q: Does Bells have an experation date?

There is a 'best by' date, not a true expiration date. It's just dried spices, so it should be good long after the best by date.

Q: what is the expiration date on the bottom of the box?

The Sell By date on mine is indented on the top: 30SEP2021. I bought mine in November, 2019. It was 3 boxes. I I kept out and I put the others in a freezer bad and put it in the freezer. I would think it could last another two years if frozen. It's great stuff!
