Buy from a reputable/trustworthy company
A review for a product is only as good as the one from whom it originates. To be honest, I'm not an expert on the subject of digital voice recorders or audio in general. However, I have searched extensively (and done some research) on voice recorders while in the process of purchasing a few for myself and others. So I can best be described as an informed user of this type of product. That having been said, I would like to share my experience with you (as many of you have so kindly done for me).I'm just reporting my observations and impressions with some necessary interpretation, and I would prefer that the reader draw his own conclusions as much as possible. For those of you who are still undecided on which item to buy, you might profit by giving serious cosideration to this particular Yemenren voice recorder. The constraints of time and space force me to be succinct. So i'll stick to the main points; if you're interested, you can pursue checking on the incidental details (some of which, depending on your needs, may also be important to you). The most significant feature of a voice recorder is the voice or sound quality itself. Simply put, the sound quality here (with triple microphones) is as good as you're going to get. For this price range, to get equal sound quality is occasionally possible. You will rarely, if ever, surpass it, in my opinion. And the manufacturers took pride in their product. They surrounded their core of excellent sound, so to speak, with none but the finest of materials, as is manifested by the heft and feel of their heavy, compact recorder which was made to be durable. For the difference between $20 to $30+ (roughly), you receive an elegant looking recorder, combined with relatively expensive "accessories"(this is just my layman's term for all the things which go together with the sound), all of which are merged into a top-notch, well conceived and executed little machine. It is logically constructed and fairly easy to learn to use, compared to many others, with its large window ang big, bold buttons. The instruction manual is in well written, good English--easy to understand and apply. I would suggest, however, that you ask, as I did, for their PDF version which, with large print, is so much easier to read. Finally we come to what really sold me on this recorder. The value of this company's product was only exceeded by the value of their remarkable ability to handle customers. I had a small problem; they immediately offered to send a replacement, besides providing me with a temporary solution which worked well. That to me, in this day and age,is the exemplification of customer support at its finest. I could be wrong, but I was left with the distinct impression that these people know what they are doing; they like what they do, and they like taking care of you! If any significant new informatuion arises (for better or worse) I will not hesitate to amend this review. I must admit, and this is important, I have neither the need or the time to try out all the features of this or any recorder. Like most people, I limit myself to those few functions which I require. And I know from experience that most of the recorders I've "tested" have several features which don't work too well. This recorder is fine for me; only you can decide what's right for you. I am trying to be as objective as possible. Moreover,if this review helps a few of you, even half as much as you have helped me, I will consider it a big success! In conclusion, in my opinion, the MOST IMPORTANT factor in buying a recorder is to make certain (from the reviews, etc) that thecompany with whom you do business is trustworthy/reliable. One thing is evident from all the reviews and in my own limited experience--there are a lot of defective products out there, mixed in with the good ones. And I'm sure that the manufacturers realize that; this can happen to the best of them as well as the others. If you happen to get a problematic device, your only recourse is the people behind it. So your best security is a reputable company, one that values its customers more than individual profits!

Good Digital Recorder
Update to my first 5 stars review : After using this device for about a week now, I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. The main reason for that is the software that runs the recorder. It's very badly written/coded and for strange reason.. it keeps ignoring the features or options that I choose. For example ( and this is VERY annoying thing ) once you're done recording and listening to your recorded clip.. the software would automatically play all stored clips. I went to the recording options many times. And no matter what I do.. it ignores everything and keep playing older audio clips once the new one is done. The only solution for that, is to delete all old clips or save them, so you would always have one audio clip. This is the only solution that solved this strange and annoying problem. Another thing that I hated about this recorder.. is the buttons. They have this metal-click sound each time you push any button. Not a big deal... but if you're using the recorder often, it will start to become pain in the head. Battery runs out fast.. and get charged fast as well. There is no option to turn off screen light completely, you can only change the "contrast" of the screen. Still good product, that's why I'm leaving my original review here below...." This is a good audio recorder for this price. The mic is sensitive, speakers are loud, the case is metal and in general it looks good and sounds good. You will need couple of minutes to learn how to navigate and use the software.. if you used digital recorders before, this one would be easy to use for you.. Recording quality is great.. better than many expensive recorders out there. For me that's enough to give it 5 stars. For now. Here are few points to keep in mind if you're planning to get this recorder : the device is very small in size, I personally like that, it takes less space! - there are no "freebies" coming with it, no headphones, nothing except a short USB cable and well written manual. With that said.. I'm using it for 2 days only. Not enough time to judge the quality of the product itself. I didn't like that you can't replace the batteries.. if anything affected the build-in battery, the whole recorder would have to be replaced. The screen looks like it's made of glass.. so you have to be careful with it or you could easily break it. To be honest, the day I bought this recorder, I also bought a Sony Px470 and Olympus 7200 recorders, just in case! With this kind of products, from unknown company, you know you're taking a risk. Always have plan B. That's my opinion. But it's worth mentioning here that from other reviews, it looks like the company behind this product is taking good care of its customers. And that's huge plus. It shows that they have faith in their product, and willing to help you to get the best experience with it. For that, and the overall quality of the product I received from them.. I highly recommend it."

High Quality Recordings in a Compact Device
I like this recorder. The initial impression is great. The packaging reminded me a bit of the way an Apple product is boxed. Before you even plug it in you are impressed with the care they took to package it. I like that.It feels a bit more substantial in hand then the Cenlux that had purchased a few years ago. It has a nice sensitive set of microphones that do a great job of pulling in all of the sound. I also like the built in speaker and the ability to record natively to MP3.User interface could be improved. I find navigating the menus to be very counter-intuitive and inconsistent. For example a menu that is shown with options going top to bottom of the screen will use left and right keys to navigate it on the 4-way button sometimes and then other times not.I also think the recording interface and toggle is a bit delayed. When you hit record the display says “please wait” and then gets started recording. If you immediately hit the record button again it will stop and save the file but if your screen display times out you will have to hit the record button twice to get it to stop recording. Once to “wake up” the screen and a second time to actually stop and save the recording. The manual seems to cover all operations and this is a good thing. There are some features, like turning off the recording beacon, that you’ll probably want to know about and since the setting is not all that intuitive the manual will help you find this. All of that said I think the recording quality is fantastic. I also think that once you learn all of the operational tics about it you can use it effectively to record high-quality sound. It’s a sophisticated device with lots of settings and I can understand why it could get complicated to find all of those settings.
