OGXProtecting + Silky Blowout Quick Drying Thermal Spray, 6 Fl Oz

Last a few months I’d used as directed. Smells great and easy to use. Great price and a good size Bottle. Lightweight and not sticky and good for your hair. Works great and doesn’t make my hair greasy.

This review is based on my own hair type and experience.I've been using this with my L'ange Le Volume, which is the brush/dryer combined and it gives the fresh from salon blowout look and feel. My hair is long and fine but have a lot of it. I did a comparison to John Frieda brand and was very impressed with the OGX. In fact, I actually felt like I got a better result from the OGX. First the smell is pleasant but doesn't linger. There is a slight stickiness if you are applying it to your hands (just spray it directly on hair lifting and spraying and then brush through, stickiness problem solved). Also, I towel dry my hair for a short time prior to spraying into my hair (this is more because I get distracted). I let set for a about 2 minutes to absorb into my hair before drying. Drying time was very reasonable given the amount of hair I have. Once I complete blowout, the end result is smooth and sleek. Keep in mind, this is not a frizz control product. For frizz control you would want to use a product that is specifically for frizz or one that includes in the blowout spray.

This really does smell good and it actually does cut drying time dramatically. However I bought it for the silk feel. I was attempting a silk press. This isn’t good for that. It dries your hair so fast that the hair started snagging and it got so rough and tough it was like brushing and blow drying straw or hay. So it was a bit annoying and a little painful plus I had to do more passes than I wanted to. But overall good product and the smell it’s just… well it took away that blower flat iron smell and that’s major!

A light, non greasy and slightly fragrant product I’m usually on my fine and newly thinning hair. After spritzing light all over on towel dried hair concentrating in the dry ends, I use Velcro rollers found on Amazon to set my hair for 10 to 20 minutes. My hair combs out soft, silky and smooth and keeps for days afterward. Great product and erases the frizz everyone battles in my humid environment.

Had no smell and it's like water. I wanted to use this product on myself for a blowout done by myself. But it seems like I'm just putting more water on my hair. Am I doing something wrong?

I sprayed lightly on my hair, avoiding scalp and roots and then dried my short but thick hair. I’m growing it out now to a short bob, and it’s at the stage when it’s hard to dry into any semblance of order, by an amateur like me, anyway. This product made the process much faster with a neater, more professional result. The fragrance was stronger than I thought I’d like, but it dissipated as my hair dry and is now faint but pleasant. It’s lightweight and does the job as advertised.

I have used this spray a few times so far. I put it on after washing my hair and after a little while I start blow drying with a brush. My hair does dry nicely, it’s soft and dries pretty quick. Although it’s straight when dry, I still need to work with it a little more, maybe dry less hair at a time to get the exact results I’m looking for which is probably a little less full looking.

Ugh. This product is way too heavy. Sprayed it on after a fresh wash and it made my hair greasy and weighed down (like I’d never washed it to begin with.) The scent is unremarkable, the quality of the formula is sub-par. My hair is coated in product without shine or any manageability-in fact it’s amazing to me that my hair still looks frizzy on the ends whilst the length of is so oily. My hair is on the wavy side with low porosity, used a blowout brush to style it after applying this product. My hair feels so gross and sticky I will have to rewash it. Skip this product, there are better thermal protections available.
