I admit it: I'm a drawstring gift bag hoarder. No messing around with scissors and tape? Good. Practically instant wrap job? Even better. No mountains of paper waste? The BEST.So of course I wanted to try out these festive red and green velvet bags. They're so soft! Their size makes them ideal for wrapping the widest range of gifts, from average stuffed animals to cookbooks. The seams look sturdy. I like the kraft card tags pre-attached to the drawcords. The coordinating satin cords are sleek and a fitting match for the velvet fabric.One small con: The ends of each drawcord are "finished" with a black plastic cone. It may seem a small thing, but it does kind of cheapen the overall effect. I may be replacing them with a silver- or gold-tone bead.

I like to give the nieces and nephews blankets for holiday gifts, and these bags are great as paper bags don't do the job, and wrapping paper is impossible (I want to avoid adding extra waste by using boxes).

I don't know if I would call these "velvet." They are more like a velour. Not super thick, but still soft. I bought some fabric gift bags last year for the holidays and really like them. I got some canvas-y ones and some flannel ones. The flannel ones (I got buffalo plaid) are super cute. These are more plain, but they are still festive with the colors. I like that they are re-usable. So when you gift them to people, they also get a nice bag that they can re-use! (although my close family usually gives them back to the original gifter, so they can use them again next year.)They don't really hide the contents as well as something like a wrapped box since they are soft. But you can always put some tissue paper in there or small box if you think that the contents are too obvious. Also, children seem to like to rip paper, so I will still wrap things for them or, wrap a few smaller things and put them in bags like this. Then they have something to open and something to put their items into to carry home.I really do like these fabric bags more than paper ones. They are more expensive than wrapping paper, but they last and don't create bags of garbage.

These are nice Smooth velvety drawstring bags. They are about the size of a small pillow case. They give a feeling of Santa's Gift Bag. I'm going to use them to put the more awkward shaped gifts like holiday blankets that you wouldn't want to use wrapping paper for. I could also see using these to put Christmas PJ's in and opening them as gifts for a family Christmas movie and Hot Cocoa night. Definitely worth having and they are reusable!
