Wow, these actually DO work!!!
I was a bit skeptical at first but wow, I am impressed. I carry much of my stress in my pelvic floor and after years of intense non-stop stress, nothing was going in. I mean absolutely nothing. Until now! The packaging was discreet so no one in the house knew what I was getting. I was a bit intimidated by the largest one at first, but to my surprise I was able to insert it fully after two weeks of practicing with the other sizes. Impressed, because I was expecting it to take way longer! By the way, I saw many people complain that there is no size between #4 and #5. The truth is, the dilators increase in diameter 0.25" at a time which is exactly what is usually recommended by the professionals or even by the sex toy shops for when you are trying to get used to larger stuff, so do not fret, just keep working at it and it WILL go in! The instructions that came with the dilators are very helpful. A few tips that I personally have found helpful:-I found it best to try to get at least a little aroused before starting, as opposed to "just sticking it in", e.g. watch some videos, play with myself a bit, etc. It really does make a big difference.-At first I could accommodate just the tip of each dilator, and that's totally cool! I found that if I left an erotic video on for those 20-30 minutes I was supposed to leave the dilator in, it would gradually go in deeper pretty much on its own as the arousal would increase. The V does open up, be patient!-I found that some positions make inserting easier. Don't feel like you only have to lie on your back, for example I found that lying on my side makes inserting so much easier, or on my back with a pillow under my behind.- Moving on to the next size is easier if done within the same session. For example, when going from #3 to #4, at first I did like 10 min with #2, then 15 min with #3 and only then try to do at least a couple of minutes with #4. With time I didn't even need #2 anymore and could go straight from #3 to #4 and tolerate more minutes on #4. Then with time I realized I didn't even need to go through #3 anymore, I could go straight to #4!-On some days for whatever reasons, nothing much will happen - and it's completely ok, just be sure to come back again tomorrow and be patient and kind to your body!Hope this review helps. We need to get comfortable with talking about this stuff as a society, and not be ashamed.

Works as advertised
Review for VuVa setWorks as advertised. Follow the instructions with the set. I also recommend the instructions for using dilators. This can be found on the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center web site. Check with your medical provider before you start a DIY program. Remember that it will take a little time, probably days to weeks. Do not expect results overnight. Here is my first-hand experience, so to speak. I decided to get back in the game after a decade or so of "retirement". Menopause was definitely a game-changer, and I did not know that there were options other than systemic hormones. I did some reading and learned about dilator therapy. I checked out the medical literature as well as patient information from trustworthy online sources. Dilator therapy sounded like a safe, inexpensive, drug-free option. I wish I had known sooner.I ordered the set and decided to "give it a go", as they say. The five sizes just begged for names. "Pinky" went straight into the trash. I wasn't that far gone. Progressing through the next two was easy. The second smallest went into the trash also, leaving three. The middle size was a good starting point. The two largest were a bit of a challenge. They were fondly named "Max" and "Norm". (If you remember where this came from, you are as old as I am, or you wouldn't be reading this anyway.) So, the instructions are fairly straight-up. As I say, Norm was challenging. Use plenty of the provided lube product* and take your time. Don't get discouraged.*A note here: The medical literature strongly recommends a vaginal moisturizer such as Replens as part of post-menopausal therapy. What I discovered was that Replens works better with the Replens brand silicone-based lube liquid. Somehow when it is mixed or in contact with one of the water based ones like AstroGlide, the mixture is a little gooey. Try spreading a little of your vaginal moisturizer on a smooth surface. Then add a drop of lubricant and mix with your finger. If it clumps up or feels sticky, it isn't a good combination.Once I was able to use Norm to his full potential, I felt like there was hope I might actually be able to make a comeback. But then there was Max. Max was quickly renamed "Bubba" after the first go-round. I was reminded of high school math. Circumference = diameter x pi. Meaning that a 20% increase in diameter might not look like much, but it represents greater than 60% increase in circumference. Circumference is really the critical metric here. Bubba was a real challenge. I took my time and did not expect to pass "Go" any time soon. Here is where determination and patience come in, like going to the gym. Just push a little more each day. Progress is measured in millimeters. Finally I was able to give Bubba the slip and I knew I was in the "home stretch". What a feeling to know that I would eventually be able to take that "victory lap", with success in my grasp. Please excuse the double entendres, but I wanted to review a serious product with a sense of humor and at least keep it "PG".One suggestion for the manufacturer: How about a size between "Norm" and "Bubba"? Manufacturers, please brush up on your high school math! Another suggestion, this one more cosmetic than functional: In addition to Parfait Pink, other color choices might be appreciated. Perhaps Latte, Mocha, and Espresso?Another option to be aware of is intravaginal hormone therapy (Vagifem). It is safe and supposedly effective. It is also very expensive and you need a prescription. There is a generic on the market now.
