The Manhattan Tutors Guide to the Lower Level ISEE: Quantitative Reasoning and Mathematics Achievement

I have about 10 books devoted to ISEE lower. This one is an excellent book, though only math. Lots of practice problems, excellent explanations before the problems. Maybe the best explanations I've seen.One note on the book philosophy. I feel like this is a great 'teaching' book. Meaning, I think they sacrifice a little bit in terms of showing every single type of problem out there in favor of giving you some extra repetition on the main problems. The practice tests are exactly like the practice problems. So if you're trying to get a 9, I might buy a few other books to see more problem types (like tutorverse or elevate or Cardinal). But if you're trying to get a 9, maybe you are doing that already.With that said, I really like this book. If you go through the problems in the book, your ISEE math scores will improve and your math will improve.

I'm a professional tutor who has taught the ISEE for a decade. I purchased the other two ISEE books that thiscompany hasreleased and liked them both; this one seems to be of similarly high quality. The format is the sameas the other books: there are sections formath strategies, math fundamentals, specific math question types, and two practice tests. Overall, I'm very pleased with the quality of these books and will continue to use them going forward

I've been using this book with my son as he prepares to take the ISEE in the fall. So far everything looks great. My son has struggled with math in the past, but the explanations provided in this guide are very clear. When he still struggles to understand something, I've been able to read through myself and figure out how to help him. Thanks!

I'm a tutor who has been prepping students for the ISEE for fifteen years, and I always have Manhattan Tutors' books on hand as a resource for my students. The content and strategies are laid out clearly, and the books include plenty of practice material. I'm so glad to have the Lower Level ISEE book to add to my collection!

Its a book

I've been working through the math section of the Lower Level ISEE with my daughter. She really struggles with these sections, but we've both found the explanations in this book for the math question types to be very clear and easy to understand. There are a decent number of practice questions for each question type and math fundamentals, which I appreciate, since my daughter could definitely use as much practice as possible! Overall, it seems to be more clearly organized than the Princeton Review guide, and it's dedicated entirely to the Lower Level test, which in my opinion makes much more sense than putting all the exams in one book like most other companies do.

I purchased this book and the Princeton Review and Kaplan books for my daughter. So far, she has found this one the easiest to understand. It seems like the other two guides don't indicate what the actual question types on the test will be. I wish it had the verbal and reading sections as well, but the math portion is excellent. Would definitely recommend for families who are preparing for the Lower Level ISEE. Based on the reviews for this company's other books, it seems like they provide solid materials to get ready for the math sections of these tests.
