My favorite dry texture spray
This has been my favorite dry texturizing spray for almost 2 yrs now.I started using this after I chemically damaged hair with repeated lightening. I had to avoid shampooing my hair to prevent more damage and to help my new hair color last as long as possible. I also have an oily scalp. I usually can't last more than a full 24 hrs before my hair close to my scalp looks flat and gross.I mostly use this dry texture spray within 2 inches of my scalp. I try not spray it too much further down because my hair is already very dense and most of the chemical damage is on the lengths (towards the ends). This dry texture spray would only make the dry, dry fragile parts of my hair drier and more prone to knots. This spray works well as far as reducing how oily my scalp looks and adding a bit of volume. Whenever I want my long hair to look as nice as possible, I will use this spray on the lengths (from my scalp to the top of my ears). I use it sparingly since my hair is so fragile. I spray some of my subtle face-framing layers and some of the subtle layers around the rest of my head. This creates a more piecey look, making my layers more noticeable, while also allowing for a lot of natural movement. This spray allows me to get thru half a second day (sometimes almost all of a second day) of not washing my hair. If all you need is a dry shampoo, I would search for something else. But I like this spray so much that I just apply it after I've worked in a small amount of another dry shampoo. This allows me to go *at least* a full two days without washing my hair. If I want to last another day, I just refresh with a little bit of this spray or a very tiny amount of dry shampoo. The fragrance is nice. Not overpowering. It's not sickeningly sweet; it doesn't smell like men's fragrance. It's very subtle. You dont have to worry about using this with another fragrant hair product. The scent of this is so light that it likely won't compete with another fragrance.I used to think this spray was so expensive, but I've changed my mind after using it for so long. It's a great product, so it's already worth the price. But it also cuts down on the amount of other products, time, and effort I have to use if I didn't have it.I usually recommend this product to anyone who's interested in trying a dry texture spray for the first time. It's hard to mess up with this one. If it doesn't provide enough grip, you can try layering it on. If it doesn't seem to provide enough hold or oil absorption, no need to wash your hair just to restyle it. It's so lightweight (unless you've layered it on heavily) that you can just apply another product on top of it; then use it for touch ups when you want to go as long as possible without washing your hair. I also recommend this to anyone dealing with "slippery," thin (usually blonde) hair that slips out of hairstyles (even basic ponytails) very easily. This product adds enough grit to stop the slippage, but not so much that the hair becomes prone to tangles and knots.Hope this helps! This is one of those products where buying it and not being impressed doesn't really hurt bc you can find a use for it so it doesn't go to waste.

Great value & product!
Obsessed with this texture spray! It’s the added umph my hair needs without having to use a sticky hairspray. Lasts me a long time, the volume and texture added to my hair is perfect for what I want and doesn’t feel heavy.

High quality but whew the scent is STRONG
It works fine but my GOSH the scent is overpowering. It does smell good but boy I wish they would tone down the intensity of the scent.

Didn’t find this spray easy to use
Don’t like this hair product at all. The spray comes out too thick/too much & too strong. It is sticky & it’s hard to control the spray. I was using the Caviar brand which I love but it is expensive. I was looking for a less costly alternative & this one had good reviews.

Overly scented
This was probably a good product, I could not use it because it is highly scented, too perfume scented for me.

My hair finally holds a curl!!!
At the ripe age of 52, I have finally figured out how to make my hair hold a curl!I have fine, slightly wavy hair. It's got just enough body to be frizzy, but not the kind of frizzy that would benefit from the "curly girl method" regimen. Tried that and failed already. My hair refuses to hold a curl. I had it styled last month with beautiful curls and ran to take pictures before they all fell out, which happened in about 45 minutes. They NEVER last.I once had a professional hairstylist try to curl my hair for a walk on part and after a couple of futile attempts she frustratedly asked me why I didn't tell her up front that my hair wouldn't hold a curl. Embarrassed, I said, "I thought maybe you knew a trick I didn't."She softened after that, but the point stands that my natural hair's stubborn refusal to bend to any curling iron's will confounds professionals too.I tried "curly" hair products, but they're just for defining truly curly hair, not mine. They left my hair straight, limp and greasy. Searching for "curl spray" only turned up other similar disasters.Somehow, my searches this time turned up a "texturizing spray" that led me here. Well, not HERE to this product, but to another way more pricey version.Knowing the key term was a "texturizing spray", I ended up here and bought this spray.Today, I tried it along with a brand new (cheap) curling wand to do my hair for Thanksgiving and holy cow, I've finally found what I'm looking for!I sprayed this onto my dry hair, and massage it in, letting it dry. I didn't use more than a few split second shots of spray. I noticed my freshly dried hair definitely looked like it had a lot of volume, but it's always that way right after being dried. Volume? Frizz? Sometimes it all just looks the same to me.As I went to work with the curling wand, I left each curl to cool and dry on its own. I made it all the way around both sides of my head and was shocked that My curls were still holding. In fact, when I ran my hands through the curls I thought, "Oh this is too much. I can't style this. I'll look ridiculous. I need a barrette or something."After about 30 minutes the curls calmed down enough that I felt comfortable with them, but I was shocked! My hair doesn't hold a curl! Except now it does!I took a photo of the back of my hair 20 minutes after first curling it, and took a comparison photo of my hair 9 hours later. Most of my curls are still there! This has never happened in my life.My long time hairstylist just used a hair straightener on my wedding day because we both know there was no hope if trying for curls. But this spray has made the impossible possible! There are several criticisms of this spray that I have read in other reviews. My thoughts on them:Yes the spray nozzle is a little temperamental. At first I thought it was broken but after a firm press and a test spray into the sink, I had it figured out. Some people say they don't like the scent. There is no strong, discernible scent that I can tell.Other commenters have written that it's not as great as another brand of texturizing spray. That may be so. I went for this brand because it was one of the cheaper ones. Still, I'm amazed. Just amazed. So amazed that I'm writing this on my phone on Thanksgiving night. So yeah, 5 stars from the curly haired woman sitting on her couch.
