Confusing model numbers used interchangably
Worked well when it finally arrived. There are 2 different mountings. The original was a Toshiba 2M253J that has 2 wings on each side to mount it. This unit was marked as 2M248J which typically has a 1 inch wing with 3 holes. Both seem to be electrically compatible, but not mechanically compatible. The photo is the two units. If you search, you'll see the two different mounting styles but the description is used interchangeably. Be careful! The whirlpool requires the mounting with 4 screws.

Not very good quality
When I pushed the electrical connectors on the bottom, it pushed up inside. The Toshiba part number has a different bolt pattern and this one doesn't line up. For a few bucks more, you can get the OEM Toshiba. These things can be dangerous, why risk your health for a few dollars.

WORKED TO REPLACE FRIGIDAIRE MAGNITRON. SAVED $600
My Frigidaire microwave would light up, spin, and make noise. It wouldn't cook anything though. I didn't want to replace it because not only would I need to buy a new microwave, but also a new trim kit since they discontinued the original microwave I had. I tore it apart and did an ohm test on the magnetron. It tested faulty. Even though the exact part number did not show as the replacement for my unit, I identified it by dimension and wattage. I installed it and it worked great!

Deceptive Picture in the Listing
The listing picture shows that it is a "Toshiba" magnetron but in reality it is a chinese knockoff of unknown manufacturer. Beware.

Save money!
I bought the magnetron, diode, capacitor and fuses, to cover all the bases. I installed them in an over the stove low profile microwave. So, in short, I spent around $85 instead of $550-$600 for a replacement.

NOT TOSHIBA
DO NOT BUY ! NOT TOSHIBA, Misrepresented!!! Beware, it's just another of the cheap magnetrons that are here. Higher price though. Thought I was getting a genuine part - nope
