Quality as just as good as Pomona 6413
These are super good quality which I have come to expect from Electronic Specialist they feel just as good in the hand and funtion just like the Pomona 6413 models just grey instead of yellow they have been holding up super well on my Snap On Verus Edge for Scope Use and Sensor checking as well as wcm diag love them and there 20 to 30 dollars per set cheaper then the Pomona.. Don't get me wrong the Pomona are amazing quality but so are these electronic Specialist ones as well just a better price tag.. I bought 3 packs and they cost me 10 bucks more then a single Pomona pack but you can't go wrong with either of them if you want to save a bit of money and get more these will fit your bill... just amazing quality

You get what you pay for.
I was able to compare the Electronic Specialties 619 directly against a new pair of the Ponoma 6405. Long story short, you get what you pay for.Currently the Electronic Specialties cost $29 while the Ponoma’s cost $46. Or 27% cheaper. That is what attracted me to these units. For some plastic injection molded parts, springs, and sharpened probe, $29 should be plenty to get a quality part. Well yes, I think this will suffice in the long run, but the Ponoma is just a little bit nicer in every way. Feel in the hand, tightness of the banana plug connections, spring craftmanship, etc. I also noticed that the probes on these units will not make it all the way to the V cradle for the wire like they do on the Ponoma’s. Suggesting it will struggle to pierce some very small gauge wires. However, simply filing the end of the main body should fix that.My recommendation is if you will be needing piercing probes on a semi-regular basis or more, just go straight for the Pomona’s or even the Flukes. But if you’re a hobbyist like me that needs something every now and again, these will satisfy your needs.

These are amazing!
I cant believe ive never had these before. Im an elevator mechanic, which means I do alot of electrical work From high voltage power wiring to senstive electrocnics. These have already proven very useful and they work flawlessly. Theyre all one piece internally, meaning the tip of the needle to the bananna plug is all one piece, No intermittent connection or resistance issues. The black shield works right. These are a much higher quality and work much better/ more reliably than the spring type i tried before these. Since they screw in you can set the pressure needed to pierce the insulation no matter how thick or thin and they maintain rock solid contact. And i dont know who "rated" these but 14 gauge is NOT the maximum capacity. I had no problem at all using these on 8 gauge wire. If you do any electrical work beyond a household 3 color electrician, you owe it to yourself to get these. You will never work without them again. You will need a set of leads with bananna plugs on both ends to plug into these.

Just as good as the fluke brand
They work just as well as the pomona or the fluke brand wire piercers. And they are way cheaper. I will they were like 15 bucks but at least they are cheaper than the others.

Awsome probes
The sturdiest probes i have seen yet. I use these instead of my snapon ones when i use my lab scope.

there's a reason they're half the price of Fluke
Do yourself a favor and save the money to buy yourself good ones. Like the fluke version. I bought these so I would not have to disconnect instruments to connect a trex or 475 at the junction box. They broke on the first time using them. I am very disappointed in this purchase, because now I am going to go and buy the Fluke and if you factor in these then it's going to cost me an extra $25 then if I had just bought them in the first place. I guess they aren't all bad... Because one of them worked, but it's pointless to have only one.Dont buy this weak junk

Works well, excellent price
If you are doing any kind of electrical diagnosis on vehicles you need a set of these, makes a very tiny hole in the wire so be sure to also buy some liquid electrical tape to seal the hole when you're done to prevent the greenies.

Not Worth
Don't bother cheaping out by buying these... The yellow Fluke ones are vastly superior. These will not consistently pierce wires, and are not well centered. They also bludgeon their way through the insulation instead of a clean pierce. They appear to be the same product, but the quality control is way off here. Save yourself the headache if you're using these for diagnostics and pay the extra for the Flukes.
