SOLID BED FRAME
The bed is GREAT. Extremely solid, no wobble and no squeaking. It's also VERY heavy, but I consider that a good thing. As for the instructions, they look simple and there's a CGI video but there's a lot you need to figure out. To save you the trouble: Our mechanical Allen wrench/ratchet didn't work. Thankfully, there is a spare L shaped one in the container with the screws. Though the instructions show the parts by letters, they are not labelled on the pieces. Only the connections labelled with numbered stickers. This makes it very easy to get the connections right. The only part that was a bit confusing was the wood going into the head board slats. Just ensure the decorative side of the wood with the grooves is flush with side metal pieces. The smooth side of the wood is the back and it is recessed slightly in the metal frame. The instructions must be older because the wood screws into 4 metal 'tabs' but the instructions make it look like 2 long tabs. You'll know it when you see it. Everything lined up easily and all the screws fit easily. All screws are labelled and there are extras. BUT you will need at least 2 people, preferably 3, as you'll have to prop up some sides while putting it together. For ours the head board posts would not slot into the base without some series elbow grease. For the first step, you'll need to UNSCREW the nuts that the long rails 'hang/slot' onto. Then you can tighten them. This took us a while to figure out as it's not indicated in the instructions and no other parts have this feature. Lastly, when you start to lay down the slats, start on the Velcro. Do NOT start on the edges or you'll have a gap. I know that seems like a lot but it really is easy if you have the help and take your time. It took me and my 2 young kids about 1.5 hours but if we knew the above it would probably have taken less than an hour. Bed is SOLID and I'm really happy with it. It's amazing to get something this great for the price. Don't hesitate to buy it!

Smart engineering and great quality!
First off, I purchased this with a discount code and it is SO worth the buy - discounted or not! We purchased a King size and are extremely happy! This is a steel frame with bamboo for the wood. The quality is amazing for the price and I absolutely LOVE this company for the ease of assembly, quality and style. The instruction manual comes with pictures and a number system. 1 goes to 1 and so on. But they also have in the picture to show you which parts you're dealing with and the numbers mean you can't mess this up. The way they constructed it is so awesome. The pieces for the metal frame slide into each other and the quality of the bolts are amazing. They have a ratchet included with an allen wrench, and the ratchet is great quality. I'm keeping it for sure! It says up to 700 lb capacity, but this frame is solid. I'm sure it can handle more and some rough treatment with ease. we have carpet in our bedroom, so that helps to cushion. But this frame does not squeak at all. We've already tried rocking it around, jumping on it and this thing isn't going anywhere. The bamboo slats are thick and great quality, there's Velcro on the sides of the frame that keep them in place and everything was finished so nicely. There is two strips of adhesive on the slats. You peel that off and it's meant to keep the mattress in place. We didn't use it, our mattress has some weight to it, so we're not worried about it moving. I cannot express how overjoyed I am with this bed frame! Some other great pointers was the delivery and packaging. Delivery with prime came on time and within 2 days, so that was a blessing. And the packaging was well done, but not excessive. We don't have a bunch of packaging that was unnecessary for the recycle bin and trash. I love that! Even the styrofoam they had for packaging is the good kind and we're keeping that too lol! I highly recommend this product and I hope everyone else has an amazing experience like we did!

Solid as a rock and excellent value
I don't usually write reviews but after seeing some of the poor reviews for this product before I bought it, I felt compelled to give my two cents. I was a bit nervous about this item at first but after assembly it was everything I wanted. The frame itself is super sturdy and easy to assemble. I will say that it is EXTREMELY heavy. I am a 6'4" 280 lb. man and getting this into my house was difficult to do by myself. After getting into my place, building it was a breeze. Everything is labeled numerically to the part that it is connected to so there is no way to mess this up even without the directions. As some have pointed out, this does sit low to the ground but the only thing I store under my bed are my firearm cases and they all fit perfectly so no complaints there. When I got my mattress loaded up after assembly I gave it a little test to see if it would slide on my hardwood floors. No matter how hard I bucked or jumped on it it didn't move. There were also some complaints about squeaking but I do not seem to have that issue. Finally, the whole setup looks wonderful and the wood grain matches the grain on my floors so all in all it is an excellent value for the money. Additionally, with the steel construction, this should last a nice long time. I am very happy with this purchase and would be interested in purchasing furniture from this company again in the future.

Sturdy, just ok. Reasonable Quality for the price
We bought this platform bed to go with our new Casper mattress. It fits the mattress perfectly and is a very sturdy, solid metal frame. It was easy to put together. Overall a very good deal for the price, I’m sure it will last for years. Our only issue was some minor scratches in the headboard. They were probably created during the shipping and handling process, the scratched were pretty minor. Not worth trying to return the whole thing, and I was able to repair them with a touch up marker and you can’t even see them now. Still, I shouldn’t have to do that with a brand new headboard, so 4 stars. And the Headboard itself is sort of a cheap material. Sort of Ikea like particle board. Its fine for the price, just wish it was a little nicer. The footer is surprisingly a nicer looking piece of wood. I think eventually what I will do is replace the headboard with a solid piece of wood of my own choosing. That way I can pick something to my liking, and stain it as I want. This would be the perfect bedframe for that. You would only have drill 4 holes in the piece of wood. Be prepared, the bed is extremely low to the ground. We like it a lot now that we are used to it, but it did get some taking getting used to.

Beautiful, sturdy bedframe.
If you're a fan of industrial looking furniture or have a modern aesthetic, I completely suggest purchasing a Zinus bed frame. This is the second frame I have purchased from the brand. They're stupid easy to assemble, seriously, if you understand pictures and steps, you're golden. I will suggest having two people on this, it can easily be a one-person job, BUT, some of the pieces are heavy and assembling the main body of the frame is much easier with two people. I was a little shocked to realize that there are no feet supporting the sides of the frame, there is only a foot in the center for the crossbeam. The head and foot of the frame are a single beam that runs the entire width of the bed. That being said, the side bars are inch+ thick beams of metal. I weigh about 300 lbs and haven't bent the frame yet (and I sit on the side of the bed to put my shoes on, etc.) This sucker is sturdy. I personally like to hang my feet off the bed so I opted not to have the footboard. I was amazed that the frame still came with a nice little detail if you opt out of the footboard. There is a little strip of wood that runs along the foot of the bed, at this price, they didn't need to include this detail, but I'm so glad they did. The panel on the headboard is solid wood too (or if it's particle board with a veneer, it's a damn good one) I know the wood on the foot is solid, mine got nicked somehow in shipping and it's a solid little slice, not a jagged mess like you see with dented particle board. I will say that the slats are relatively thin and are likely bamboo or another cheap wood like pine. However, with the well supported crossbar, I don't expect to break any slats anytime soon (and if I do, I'll just run to the hardware store and buy sturdier wood for slats) For this price, you cannot pass up this value. You'll have it built in less than an hour and it's a showroom worthy piece. It's an industrial piece so it'll never go out of style and will fit with many types of decor. It's black metal with dark brown stained wood. I doubt you'll be able to find a color that won't pair well with this frame. If I have one complaint, it's that the frame itself is short, I'm a relatively tall guy, and even with a 13" mattress on it it's not 2 foot off the ground (it's just under my knees) that being said, once you're laying on it the height doesn't matter, but I would suggest using a larger mattress with this platform.

Wonderful bed! Its quality overrides the small issues with assembly.
It took a while for me to begin assemblins the bed mostly due to the dread from past experiences with other self assembly products. The instructions needed improvement. The parts in the box were labelled with numbers, while the instruction included in the box had letters. Same with the online instructions that I was able to find. I thought that A=1, B=2, etc. would work, but it didn't. I was able to figure out assembly fairly quickly just with common sense though. One small part was missing, which I always expect. The bed assembled fine without it. It took about 2 weeks, but Zinus sent the missing part. But, I have no regrets on purchasing the bed. It is WONDERFUL. It is extremely stable, stays in place with no creaking or sagging. The slats that cover the length of the frame provide a tremendous amount of support. I sleep alot better on it without the mattress sagging like my old, cheap frame. My persistent lower back pain has diminished significantly. I'm waiting for a sale so I can start replacing the bed frames in my other bedrooms with this one. It's also VERY NICE in appearance.

So far so good
This frame was actually a lot easier to setup than I thought it was going to be, only real issue was lugging it around to my apartment. I do recommend however having some electric screwdriver/drill with swappable allen wrench heads, otherwise this would have been annoying to. I bought this specifically because I wanted to get a frame that was low to the ground since the mattress that I had planned for this one was thicker at 14 inches, but I also wanted to get something that had a bit more quality on the frame from what I had before which had more novelty features that I didn't end up liking as much as I thought it would. The wood frame is a nice touch that feels sturdy, and the frame around it feels sturdy enough where I believe it'll last a lot longer than what I had before. The lack of screws as well is a plus around more critical areas as the last frame I had mostly had issues due to screws coming out as it aged. I'm at 260 and the mattress I have is around 120 ish pounds and it holds me just fine. I think you may have issues though with more weight if you want this for 2 people. It's also easy enough to move around with my heavy bed, while I'm also in a carpet apartment. If you have wood/tile though, the frame may scratch up the flooring. I can't speak much to sleeping on it yet, so we'll see over time, but I also didn't buy this with the intention of lasting decades.

King Size
I was hesitant to order this bed because of some of the bad reviews. My SO liked this bed more than the others, though, so I took a chance. The bed came quickly and everything was looking great until we pulled the wooden headboard out. There was a sizable dent in it, on the part that faced outward. I'm not sure why they chose to package the headboard on the bottom of the box facing outward, but I immediately called Zinus to ask for a replacement part. The lady I spoke to was very nice and assured me that I needed to call Amazon and they would send out a new bed, and that I could take the headboard piece out of the new package and put the damaged one in the box, then the UPS drivers would take it back for me. Seemed simple enough. Unfortunately, this has been the most difficult process. The person I spoke to from Amazon assured me they would call beforehand to schedule a time for them to come, that way the transition would be seamless. Instead, when I went to leave 9 days later, there the box was, propped against my home. I scheduled a return and the same thing happened today. Amazon assured me they would be here tomorrow, instead my label was placed on my porch today, while I was home, with no knock or anything. The bed itself is lovely, very sturdy, but admittedly lower to the ground than I imagined with my bed on it. The height is a little troublesome, but if I had measured everything before hand I would have realized that. Assembly was a snap. About 15 minutes total for one person to assemble. Very heavy box, about 114lbs. It was quite the process getting it up the stairs of our home lol. All in all, I would purchase again, despite the headaches with trying to return the replacements part bed.
