This USB outlet made my head unit install look so much cleaner, and it works great! I bought one of the inexpensive Android Head Units and it has 2 USB A cables to connect to phones/storage devices. I removed one of the cigarette lighters from my 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe and put this in its place. It was just slightly too big, but I used a drill and drill bit to shave what was likely less than a millimeter out of it and it fit like a glove. my only complaint is that the USB connections seem to hold devices/cables too tightly. When I pulled my thumb drive out, the metal shield did not come out with it. But for the price, I can't complain.

It works great but the USB ports are very tight to the point you think you're putting the cord in backwards.

So, when I needed another one for a new install it was a no-brainer to get this same one. Easy to install right into a normal circular hole usually occupied by your 12v charging port (cigarette lighter). Secures tightly and stays put. I was pretty hesistant with the first one I purchased a couple years ago since I wanted to be sure it worked with CarPlay. YES, works perfectly with CarPlay, no issues at all. I set 1 of the USB ports for CarPlay compatibility and the other does charging and simple mps play to the headunit.
