Great For Keeping Yarn, Floss, & Other Craft items Neatly Contained.
I decided to take up counted cross stitch after a long hiatus. When I finally found my supplies, they were a tangled mess. Even my pretty, fancy sewing box looked pretty sad. I spent an entire evening going through Amazon's sewing baskets, & finally came across this basket. Technically, it's a picnic basket. All the "sewing" baskets in Amazon's Craft section were ridiculously small! 6 inches (size of a dollar bill) wide, 4 or 5 odd inches front to back, & maybe 3 to 4 inches deep. You could not fit anything bigger than a guinea pig in them!I stumbled across some other baskets under "Other people who looked at this also looked at..." I found this one. It's sturdy, it's nice to look at, & it has a small twist-lock which deters my floss-loving cat. It was quite reasonable, price-wise, attractive, & not something that has no latch or lock. I'd recommend it to my friends, & to tidy needle or yarn devotees.

Cute but not very sturdy
Bought this basket to hold my daughters (4 years old) kid sized porcelain tea set. She loves it and it fits the teas set perfectly. She loves playing g pretend tea party/ picnic with it. She has to be a little extra cautious when carrying it as the basket is not very sturdy. I wouldn’t recommend putting a lot in it as extra weight makes it hard to carry by the handles safely.

Cute but be gentle
Basket is super flimsy. Picnic baskets are NOT cheap for some reason so you gotta do what you gotta do, just be gentle with it, don’t go putting anything crazy heavy. Unless you’re putting barbels in it, it shouldn’t break on you. The strap to close it is cute, the whole basket is a pretty decent size, too. I read a few reviews that said the weave on the basket came broken. I was scared when ordering it but fortunately it came unharmed. That doesn’t stop my car from trying to scratch it though. Overall, I wouldn’t get this basket if you do picnics regularly or carry a lot of stuff, but it’s a cute one to have considering not everyone has $200 for a woven basket — $50 is still pretty expensive though

Flimsy and damaged
This basket has been smushed like something heavy had been set on top of it. The box it came in was not damaged at all. I am an avid online purchaser and always read the reviews before purchasing. I was hoping that some of the reviews about damage were simple one-offs and the seller had gotten their act together. This did not happen. The quality of the product itself is very flimsy. It is made from what I can only describe as the same material that Chinese finger cuffs are made from.I have photos but do not see where I can upload them to this review. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!

It's good
It's pretty cute! Not large, but big enough for a full size paper plate and silverware. It reminds you of the sturdy old fashioned kind. I'd recommend it...

Zero customer service
I ordered this basket July 18 for delivery by Aug. 3. The delivery date online kept changing; it finally arrived late in August. There was absolutely no packing material in the box, and the basket was damaged. It's also very lightweight and does not live up to the description - definitely not worth the wait or the money.
